This project, which is sponsored by Microsoft's Surface2 Remix Project, requires contestants to remix the single using at least one of the stems provided on the site by November 21st. The grand prize winner of the contest will be featured in an upcoming Linkin Park EP, possibly with other Linkin Park music projects such as LPU Sessions, will win $2,500 and a Surface Pro 2 with Surface Music Kit by Microsoft, and will be premiered on Xbox Music. There will also be five runner ups who will each win $500 and Surface2 tablets along with the Surface Music Kit. As a bonus, remixers who enter mixes from their Surface Music Kit will also receive exclusive content from Linkin Park. ENTER THE CONTEST HERE Contest Rules Source: Indaba via Casper
How many Linkin Park remix contest winners have actually won their prize? It seems like these things always fall off the face of the earth.
"Upcoming Linkin Park EP" "Submissions due by 21st of November" ... Sure sounds like LPU XIII to me. Makes me wonder how much LPU XIII is going to contain. I'm guessing this, the LPU Sessions, and some demos? And if it's the 21st of November, does this mean we're getting LPU XIII in December? Or is this EP separate from LPU XIII? So many questions. Still though, stems from ALTNC! Woohoo. I wonder if this means anyone here is going to create a better mix of the song.
Ha. Is there some sort of quick tutorial on how remix songs with stagelight...or how to actually use stagelight lol
EP. But how could it be LPU XIII if the thing is due in possibly November? The LPU CD is probably being manufactured by now so I'm gonna rule that out for now. But it could be a public release ala Songs From the Underground, that'd be my safest bet.
Does anyone know how to mix a song in pro tools? I want to enter, but I won't be able to mix my remix
The launch of LPU 9 was delayed until mid-December. They could very well do the same thing again to include the winner of the contest on LPU 13.
