Why? They can't just take parts of other peoples music, put it in a song, and then sell it. That's illegal. You have to pay a licensing fee, and that has nothing to do with Warner, unless Warner said "Hell NO!" to paying that fee, but seeing as how Pictureboard would probably make that money back in a minute if LP sold it, I really doubt Warner would say no. If Adam said "it's nothing special" and they would have to pay money to put it out... maybe they just don't see it as worth the problems.
I strongly believe if people hear Pictureboard they will be majorly disappointed. Like Hybrid said before Adam said it wasn't much of a big deal, but people are making it a big deal just for mere curiosity over anything else.
Well, the reason I said that is Warner is big buisness music. They loathe the idea of their talents giving music out for free. If LP is self-employed, they don't have to worry about giving away a free song, even if it is a demo. I said nothing about selling it, homeboy.
@JamesPurcell94: @IISUPERXEROI we went given specifics but it seems some lpu sessions will be on the CD
^Like they need a dime right now. Pictureboard not being released is a product of the core fanbase (here, LPU) overhyping something that isn't that good. And they probably don't want to let us down. I'd be so happy if this was collaborations. Just get that out and go on.
Go back to my earlier post about Warner. Sure, LP doesn't need to make a dime, but they are probably under contract to not have Pictureboard released. That's possible big music buisness revenue if it is ever leaked.
It's the Pictureboard time of year again, isn't it? I have to agree with what the others are saying: we are over-hyping a song we know very little about. If LP wanted us to hear it, we would hear it (even if that involved an "opps" leak).
I don't think it will be released this month now. Because for that it should've been announced by now and I think there are preorders for it as well, like any other merchandise. I doubt LPUHQ will announce a new yearly merchandise package with so little anticipation.
I remember last year, the announcement was around this date... or am I crazy? lol Probably a release by the end of this month?
Mike said in an interview that was released in like the last week of October that said there will be a bunch of MTM tracks on the new LPU CD. That was really about it.
Last year it was released around the end of November, the year before that I think it was the middle of January, I think they usually release them in the winter, possibly, I would have to check, I'm guessing December?
