I think after 2 albums that were so far sound wise from there first 2, Plus the fans constantly begging for it it seems like a return to the guitar based sound might actually happen and im beyond ready for it. Im actually surprised how much it sounds like the first couple albums. The guy above me is right it does sound a lot like qwerty. Its def got balls to which ive missed from lp. LP we all know are very secretive when it comes to the sound of there albums, so I dont think Mike would post it if it didnt represent the album someway.
a little off topic but I like how even after 10+ years, its still two of the founding members that are in the studio together.
The guitar sounds like its in drop D tuning. Awesome sounding and sounds like their using more of those 5th power chords. Love those kind of chords.
