So, a day after release - what do we all think of GATS?

    It's still absolutely sick.

I was more in shock hearing it yesterday and after today I just love it. I've been showing everyone at work and other places and everyone is like "THAT'S LINKIN PARK?!" Got a lot of people hyped.

It's not my type of music. It sounds like something a band who frequents Warped Tour would make, and that's never been my scene. But I can appreciate the fact that it seems like they've paid a lot of attention to detail with the song. There are a lot of little things, crescendos and stuff like that, that I do like.

I don't feel the need to listen to it over and over again anymore (take that as you will), but my opinion is this: :chuck:

I can agree with that. The chorus reminds me of a band that I cant put a finger on, but I do know the band is a hardcore type band, I just cant put my finger on it.

As for me though, I used to be heavily into that kind of music, and I still like it.

Personally, and its a bit early to say, but this song has cracked my top 5 LP songs already

Addicted to it for now. Absolutely love it, the sound itself and how it is totally unexpected for the band. I really hope it will stand the test of time!

It's definitely refreshing for Linkin Park. After Living Things I think something like this was a perfect shot in the arm. Is it the best LP song? Not even close, but it's in the top10 somewhere right now. There's not much that's catchy about it, it's just in your face. It makes songs like QWERTY, Victimized & No More Sorrow look like bitch tits, so I guess that's saying something. Hearing the iTunes version Rakim is definitely more clear and the song sounds more produced and clear.

I hope this isn't the only song this long. Man, imagine if we got 10-12 tracks that were all over 4 minutes? I always wanted a 50+ minutes album, or even an hour.

The song is pretty good, I like it that its something different and unexpected. Burn it down was quite a dissapointing single for me, because it was just a tyical linkin park song and not really original. But guilty all the same is something new, so I enjoy that alot. Altho I do have to say that it's not a song that I really need to listen all the time. After 10 times of listening I needed to hear something else for a while. I wouldnt say it's in my top 10 linkin park songs, but its definetly an above average (LP) track!

    4/5

Rob shines on this track. His best drum performance since The Little Things Give You Away.

Agreed. I'd say that some of Rob's best tracks are TLTGYA, GATS, and VICTIMIZED.

I absolutely love the song. Still listening and finding things to love about it. I'm starting to like Rakim's verse. All of the choruses are different and friggen awesome. Overall it's just such a good song.

I think that one guitar riff that mimics the Chester's verse melody is catchy as fuck. I have that in my head a lot.

For now, it's absolutely a top 3 LP song. I really wonder how I'll feel in the future.

    Oh. And that intro.

Truth. This song has a "No More Sorrow" vibe deep down for me.

Honestly, i'm not a big fan of Chester's vocals here. I feel as if his vocals are letting the song down abit because it's lacking the balls to make the song punch you in the face repeatedly, and in my opinion that's what's letting this song down for me personally.

But overall, I'm enjoying it instrumentally & I also love Rakim's part, it flows really well. I'm pretty damn stoked to hear the rest of the album!
