Admitted by the band itself to being "basically Hybrid Theory Part 2" Repetitive and horrible lyrics "I wanna heal I wanna feel I slipped on a banana peel Mike Shinoda clubs baby seals Zoolander's best pose is Blue Steel", the constant whining about pain and being ignored. USE ALL THE POWER CHORDS Producer-pressured to make everything catchy (also well-documented via the whole "We wrote Somewhere I Belong over 30 times until Don Gilmore was satisfied") Can I reiterate HT part 2? I mean, literally every song on Meteora is a carbon copy of a song from Hybrid Theory. Hit The Floor. Get dirty with the people spreading the dirt. EDIT: Also see http://lpassociation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37226 EDIT 2: And as the above thread clearly shows, those that consider Meteora the best LP album tend to be on the, um, "mindless" side.

One member gets attacked for their opinion, yet when they counter the argument it's all "ITS CALLED AN OPINION!!!1!!!1!" I'm not saying I agree one way or the other but why are some entitled to their opinion but others are not? Is it because they don't agree with the majority of the people on here? Just saying, it's very....one-sided at times with certain topics on these forums >.> Edit: that being said... 1. Papercut 2. Place For My Head 3. Forgotten 4. With You 5. Blackout 6. I'm just gonna do it by album, without mixing things up It was difficult to choose a second favorite, but I decided to go the fair route and went with ATS, for the ambitious songwriting behind it. Hybrid Theory Points of Authority A Place for my Head By Myself Papercut A Thousand Suns When they Come for me Jornada/Waiting for the End Blackout The Catalyst Meteora Faint Figure.09 Session MTM Shadow of the Day (track has grown on me A LOT lately) In Pieces The Little Things Give You Away Living Things Castle of Glass Victimized Other (this one is awfully difficult to asnwer, so many good tracks) Dedicated My December P5hng Me A*wy QWERTY Not including HT EP, because it would have taken almost all the spot in the miscellaneous category
Welcome to the LPA where the rules are simple and unfair: 1. A Thousand Suns IS Linkin Park's best album. Any other argument is invalid. 2. Meteora IS Linkin Park's worst album, or over-sarcastically referred to as nonexistent. Any other argument is invalid. 3. Living Things IS a disappointment. Any other argument is invalid. Moving on now... Papercut A Place For My Head Breaking The Habit Faint From The Inside No More Sorrow In Pieces The Little Things Give You Away Waiting For The End Blackout Iridescent The Catalyst Lost In The Echo Castle Of Glass Victimized Powerless And One Across The Line Primo Guilty All The Same
^I wouldn't agree with #3, at least the part where people won't let you have another opinion about it
Um, excuse me. I wasn't countering with "It's called an opinion". You appear to have misread my argument, so let me clarify that for you. Accusing someone of having a "biased opinion" is literally the same as accusing someone of having an opinion. You cannot have an opinion without it being a biased opinion. And it only makes sense to complain about bias when it's politics or news related, which this sure as hell ain't. So really, bias is out of the question as a problem. If you have problems with another member's views, you can address them, just make sure you don't make inane, meritless arguments. These days online, I'm tired of people countering those who say something they don't like by accusing them of "Bias". When they're talking about something subjective, of course there's a bias-- It's called an opinion. What, do you expect us to be objective about EVERYTHING subjective? The word "bias" cannot be applied the way you think it can be applied. How about people actually argue their points instead of hiding behind words they don't understand while yelling at members to go away?
This is pretty odd criteria, so I just ordered my favorite albums to least favorite (with Miscellaneous at the end), then ordered the songs by my favorite from the album.
