Throwing this out there: What if said special guest isn't a vocalist? What if say...Tom Morello came in and did a guitar solo on a track?
I would love to see a collab with Prince or Stevie Wonder. Perhaps even Tina Turner or Olivia Newton John.
Even better: Linkin Park feat. Tom Morello & Zach de la Rocha Zach's lyrics would definitely fit the message that GATS was giving. More tracks like that with Zach would be AWESOME.
Oh. Okay. Fair enough. I kinda liked it, but we all have different opinions. But then again, neither one of those songs or even that style would be touched by them in a studio again--so its really a non-issue. How do you feel about Adele? Set Fire To The Rain sits wonderfully over Breaking the Habit...
That would be so sexy. Who knows if it would even work, though. I think Tom Morello is working on a solo album currently, but it's still possible.
I will say this, Mike has said in the past various things things (maybe 1-2) that I don't recall out of the top of my head which end up contradicting. At this point in time I've learned that stuff isn't set in stone. My take is, "so what?" Seriously. What does it matter if there is a feat.? Let it happen, I sorta miss the stuff. I am not fond of the Jay-Z stuff as someone mentioned earlier but I am pro them fiddling around with this kind of stuff. I do want more Mike though. If Mike isn't rapping .. I am talking 35% of this album (being 2-3 songs) I am going to be disappointed. I don't care if he isn't the "greatest" rapper alive. I just like hearing "him" rap. That's so hard to ask?
It has to be George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse! Now that guy can lay down some death metal raps.
Lorde, anyone? :-D I'd personally love to see that. As far as a male guest goes, I'd love to see Trent Reznor, but that's likely never going to happen. Regarding the Goat thing, maybe they're using samples of different animal sounds or something? Because, The Hunting Party?
I think that the inclusion of goat sounds will be a metaphor about how highly the band thinks of themselves.
Eh, Banks' voice wouldn't work with LP's vocalists. And, besides, there are so many other artists that I'm wishing she would work with as it is
A hundred rappers, a hundred techniques... even if Mike can't do what Rakim can, I just enjoy his rapping more. It all just comes down to that; that's what I was saying.
