In a new article by ABC News Radio, it has been revealed that Linkin Park's upcoming new record (currently rumored for release in June with a suggested title of "The Hunting Party"), will feature further guest spots, with Guilty All The Same being in 'the middle' in regards to the album's overall tone and ferocity. Quoting the article: With three potential guest spots, two by well known guitarists (one of which has his own band Scars on Broadway), this may just be the most unique and visceral Linkin Park record to date. DARON MALAKIAN?! OMG. Like I said on the shoutbox, I'm not a huge fan of SOAD but I absolutely loved Toxicity, one of my all time favorite albums, and Daron has a great style and is really respected in the rock industry. I would be all in for this.
I hope he sings AND shreds on the track. I personally love his vocals in his group Scars of Broadway.
Paige Hamilton..... I swear, I FUCKING KNEW IT! Mike recently made an Helmet playlist on spotify. When I saw it, I immediately though "Mike never made a singe playlist dedicated to a particular artist, safe for the one dedicated to Rakim.... hey, wait a minute!". Yay!!!!
THIS. I applauded LP for breaking away from nu-metal and being experimental, but lately alternative rock music is lacking. It's why AltWire (as much as we were originally alt rock) has branched out into Alternative Music as a whole because Alt Rock really has nothing to offer lately. Everyone apes each-other, and sounds like Breaking Benjamin/Skillet/old school Linkin Park rip offs. It'll be exciting if this album brings some of the electricity back to alternative rock that it's been missing. Let's hope.
Damn right it is. I'm psyched. There will be a massive difference in quality, which should tipped some of them off. Haha.
Sooooo hyped! Daron Malakian! That's three collaborations. I wonder how many more there will be and how many actual songs will be on the album
I'm guessing guest guitarists would do whatever Mike Einziger did on In The End, Bleed It Out and What I've Done live. With that said, this sounds awesome. Drop the next single now.
Daron Malakian? The fuck? I enjoy this. Anyone wanna describe the band Helmet? I could google it but I'd rather hear a fan's perspective.
