Was just thinking about Helmet on my way home from school today. Always wanted to give them a full listen, but I never had the time. This gave me the final motivation to actually fully check them out, and I loved it. I also own all 5 SOAD albums, so definitely hyped for that collab.
I think Daron will sing. Simply because for guitar work you can't tell if there's a guest unless you're told or the style is very trademarked (inb4 blah blah Brad blah). I think it's more noticeable for dedicated music journalist to recognize a guest by their voice and Daron's is pretty much noticeable. I might give Scars on Broadway a listen, I might just end up liking it, hopefully.
A little bit curious about Daron Malakin here and really BAD about Paige Hamilton, he sounds really bad (singing and playing)

^That's what this news post is from. You know, it would be pretty ballsy for LP to release those five songs before the album comes out. They said they're gonna release more material pre-album-release than normal IIRC.
It's good to see life on a pre-album mix, but I hope this shit doesn't get leaked in like a week and the forum gets spoiled like crazy. I'm fine with song names and what they have on each track, but no detailed paragraph descriptions.
Page is every bit as talented and gifted as Daron and is a great vocalist. You seriously need your ears checked dude.
The more news that comes out makes me even more skeptical of this album. I'll either end up absolutely loving the album or it's gonna be another album I rarely ever listen to, and that kinda makes me disappointed. But who knows what the fuck Linkin Park will do with this album.
Daron has a very unique guitar sound though. If he's playing guitar on that track, it should be noticeably him for anybody familiar with his work.
Okay, put it this way: this piece of news doesn't make me any more excited for the release than before. I reckon certain others are also in the same boat. Of course, it has to be said that I'm not an SOAD fan.
