OH MAN, I'D HATE FOR PEOPLE TO CONSTANTLY REWORK A PIECE OF MUSIC INTO SOMETHING NEW Music and art is and always has been about repurposing something existing into something new. And yes, when MTM came out, people were doing album cover redesigns. It got to such a stupid degree that they made a contest for it on the forum. If you want to make errant remarks, at least fact check before you spew your nonsense.
Where this notion of your's leads is to the idea that everyone is forced to listen to each and every variation of each and every work, which they aren't. I'm an avid fan of remix culture and I have no issue with "a billion remixes of a song" existing online. In and of itself, there's nothing wrong with that concept in my eyes. Beyond music and art, the concept of reinterpreting an existing idea to produce something new pervades creativity itself. Everyone is inspired by something and ideas don't get created in a vaccum.
First of all, you imply that remixes are made because people didn't like the original. Whereas most of them are merely different interpretations. To make a remix, you have to use elements that you initially liked from the original or see the potential of. A remix, therefore, is in no way negative. In fact, most of the times, it's a tribute to the original that puts a different spin on it. How very rude of you to even imply that remixes are made to show that the original just "wasn't good enough". Also, part of "being an artist" is being able to handle critique. If you can't handle critique, then you're going to have a bad time. Secondly, Mike Shinoda makes remixes. THE NERVE. Thirdly, this is a message board. People are going to have different opinions. Therefore it's safe to say that people will feel differently about cover art/song titles/songs and silly stuff like that. Deal with it. And last but not least, you talk about the lack of acceptance being one of the most disappointing aspects in the culture of modern day music. Remixes are part of that culture. Reinterpretations are part of that culture. Seems like someone has a lack of acceptance. IRONY.

Dude, this should've been the cover. The person who chose the actual cover seriously has no taste whatsoever. Can I have your permission to use it as the album cover on my iPod, Filip?
As the saying goes, you can't please everyone. I like the cover because, to me, it represents an omnipotent force that is always present and comes down to set things back in line. In this case, a god-like creature coming down to set the music world straight by eliminating the wrong in it.
I personally like the album cover because it perfectly shows the struggles Mike Shinoda has with My Little Pony.
