exhausted half way through the album and need to tone it down? that was just so much hype right there better start getting fit cause i don't think i'll get to 25% of the album if it is that heavy
I'm just glad that the electronic elements are still there and that there appears to be at least one "heavy electronic" track. LP's use of their electronic elements are kind of what set them apart back in the day, and I was fearing this new 'hard rock' direction was going to throw that out. Glad to hear that isn't the case.
It's there you see the difference between Mike's prudent approach in describing the sound, and Chester more "HYPE" approach. I mean Chester Mike
Agreed.. A Thousands Suns was probably my favorite album from them.. lyrically speaking and musically. Just hope we get full tracks, Living Things felt like it had 3 "half" tracks and two of them felt repetitive (Skin to Bone, and victimized, and Roads Untraveled) and an instrumental, leaving only 9 songs on the album (1 or 2 which we're going to hear before-hand).

Likewise, Derek. The direction they're going on this album seems to be an interesting one, but I'm not sure I want to see them part from electronica anytime soon. The way Chester described the "energy" of this album affecting the live shows makes me think of firecrackers again, though given how long GATS was, the tracks may be more like fireworks!
