Hate the cover. Sorry. Lacks punch, text and colour. Needs to be more vivid. Still mega hyped for the album though, can't wait, but I hope and pray Mike actually raps on this one, and isn't mixed out by the guests. I've had this concern ever since (correct me if I'm wrong) they said there returning to the MTM studio. MTM had nearly no Mike and it majorly showed. Love the fact the song aren't radio friendly. I hope that doesn't scare Mike and make him consider watering down the awesome sounding heavy music he's talking about. Why isn't Chester discussing this album? Why is it called The Hunting Party? And just so people know, the was a citation/link on Wiki leading to website confirming the release date and title for while before this announcement.
Great interview. And I like the artwork. About the title.... It's kinda weird. but I guess I have to listen to the album first.
The studio environment doesn't dictate those kinds of details as much as the songwriting and production approaches do

I like the album art I fired up Photoshop and made a quick couple of changes to the color so I could use it as my phone background, I made the top a little darker so could see the time more clearly and made it stand out a little more. Really looking forward to the release!
I know that, I just couldn't shake the feeling is all. Still Mike will rap at least once, which rules. Here's hoping Chester really lets loose, I mean really lets loose, just once for a song, that'd be awesome indeed. Ahhh hype.
This cover comes off as cheesy to me, probably my least favorite they've ever done. I don't know why they are so tied in with Ghost Town Media. In my opinion Meteora had the best cover art out of all of their releases. It spoke to me for some reason. But that's the way art goes, it is subjective. It effects everyone differently. By no means should the potential of the album be predetermined by the lackluster album art. One of my all time favorite albums is Kendrick Lamar's "good kid , maad city", and the cover art is a polaroid with sharpie on it. And I loved ATS - but that cover is a white and black blob. Judging this album based on track titles and cover art is stupid. If the music is legit, that's all that matters. What I really care about is if we will get a Making Of DVD / Video. Those connect me to the album more than cover art ever will. Seeing the creative process and all the thought and discussion that takes place over the course of the recording process is truly what interests me. I have watched the making of meteora, MTM, and ATS millions of times and it never gets old. Thank you and God Bless.
As much as I love GTM and their work, I do feel the band needs a new 'look'. LIVING THINGS had an amazing cover, but this looks far too similar to that in terms of direction and art style.
Source? It doesn't have "Rebellion" with Daron Malakian and Paige Hamilton isn't on the featuring list. Anyone can make a simple white paper-text cover.
That and the "Warrior" track has a collaboration we've never heard of before. And as far as we know, only a FIVE track sampler is being handed around. So I'm gonna say fake for now.
Yes, i thought of that. I found it on aishlingpark's tumblr. It was posted three days ago, and it's 99% fake, I just fell inlove with the thought of having a fucking 7 minutes long song
