Is this thread actually working? Thank you Philsfan for starting a discussion! I would have done that myself but I had no idea what to talk about.
I guess this is the most appropriate thread to ask this: What's the easiest track to play on guitar. Like, doesn't even have to be a full track. Just some part of some track that's easy to learn for a beginner. Please. Just to practice switching between chords and some right hand coordination.
Without much thinking, I'd pick No More Sorrow. The main part is extremely easy and played on one string, the rest of the song is just regular powerchords. And it's heavy - a beginner guitarist always wants heavy.
Wow. I was dreading this answer. Hmmm. Not the one string part but the powerchords... I might. I was thinking about this aswell.
The Messenger was one of the first songs I learned. It uses 4 very common chords and a super common chord progression, so I'd say it's worth learning. Given Up might be slightly challenging to a person just picking a guitar up for the first time. It's not too bad, as it's a lot of power chords, but it's incredibly fun to play (especially the bridge). Also, let me point you in the right direction. www.lplive.net/astat/Guitar_tabs
Oh god, Facebook... This is from a short November video with footage from an ALTNC performance (on LP's FB account): "Linkin park used to be good. Their new stuff sucks compared to hybrid theory and meteora." Reply: "agreed here stuff got worse as time passed but steve aoki fucking ruined linkin park" Another reply: "expections for heavy metal in their new album" They expect heavy metal every time. Only this time, who would have guessed, they're getting it. That spelling though – expections.
