Waiting so long to produce a follow-up to Meteora. During that span, Collision Course comes to mind as just absolutely atrocious. Minutes to Midnight. "Lost In The Echo" video. Recharged. "GATS" "video."
I'm not telling people what to think, I'm saying that it always seems to me that a lot of people think they're cool by hating on Meteora, when in reality, they are probably the same people who turned the album up to 11 when they were like 12 or 13 years old or so and absolutely loved it. We are talking about Linkin Park fans here. Meteora is their biggest album after HT.
You guys are all complaining about the Lost In The Echo music video (which I loved), when the Burn It Down music video was way worse. There was nothing to it, the band was just playing the song with special effects added to it. And the Guilty All The Same "music video" was pretty damn disappointing, too. Also, there are a shit ton of demos which make me question why Linkin park never released those songs on a studio album. A Truth Behind A Lie should have vocals, it would be much better. Hybrid Theory and Meteora also have a large amount of disappointing songs in them.
Recharged. One of the worst albums I've ever heard. Complete shit from beginning to end. Mike talking all that shit on other bands about being too much like pop music then releasing UIG as a single (Although I really like that song, it just goes against what he said and makes him look like a douche). The Messenger. For the type of song it is Chester should not sound like that. They really should have made it like the live version and then maybe I won't skip it every time I hear it.
Opinions I can agree with this. It could also work as an opener if made shorter but then again maybe not. I think it should been included though. Honestly, WWDK, Blackbirds, QWERTY, ATL, and Pale should have all been on MTM
What a silly argument. Is everyone permanently tethered to what they liked when they were younger? Am I still supposed to talk about Thomas The Tank Engine like it's my favorite TV show? It has nothing to do with feeling cool, it has to do with just changing as people. Yeah the joke gets excessive here but oh well.
MTM is amazing but could have been so much better. 1. Announcement Service Public 2. Given Up 3. Leave Out All the Rest 4. Bleed it Out 5. Across the Line 6. QWERTY 7. Shadow of the Day 8. What I've Done 9. What We Don't Know 10. Valentine's Day 11. In Between 12. In Pieces 13. Blackbirds 14. Pale 15. TLTGYA 16. Not Alone (bonus track) :wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwww:
I liked some dumb shit when I was young that when I'm older I realise was kind of terrible. Meteora is one of those things.
That works both ways, you know. The fact that it apparently bothers you so much makes it seem like you are a little too fixated on what other people think. Who gives a shit if other people don't like it? It wouldn't be a very interesting forum if everyone agreed on everything.
I don't really care for music videos so even if most videos have sucked since ATS, I wouldn't consider that a disappointment. I guess what disappointed me is the fact that their setlists become so predictable from 2009 on and that they stopped doing DSPs. I've collected and listened to every single one of them. Apparently they want to surprise people on their new tour so I'm hoping for different setlists again. Oh, and if they don't release a DVD with their Download Festival performance, that's gonna be disappointing too.
-Almost all of Living Things -LPU8 -The Hunting Party so far, I have not heard UIG since the hour it was released. -ITE demo, Forgotten demo, mostly any demo we already had. -LITE video -BID video -COG video -Not playing COG live in 2012 aside from the game awards -Not making COG's MS remix the actual song on LT -Not playing COG more often -Not playing Powerless ever -The BID puzzle game was a disgrace -THE MIXING IN LT, HOLY SHIT FUCK YOU MARROQUIN -I JUST SAW THE GATS VIDEO, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BRO? FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, just give me all of your ATS hard drives.
Placing Wake between WID and WWDK makes it an even sweeter deal. Like an intermission thing. Thanks for the idea. Definitely making this playlist.
Meteora is fantastic and you are wrong, you should also be very ashamed. Breaking The Habit is an eargasm. Easier To Run is an eargasm. Don't Stay is an epic intro. Numb is classic. Somewhere I Belong is very unique. Figure .09 is awesome. Session is the best Linkin Park instrumental. Faint is great. Hit The Floor is weird but fun. A very good album.
