I love UIG but I agree 100% with the rest!

No, it wouldnt mean the album is entirely like that. There can be different styled songs that still fit in the album. Just because the song is different doesnt mean that it wont fit in the album.

This is what I don't understand about some people arguing against Until Its Gone. You are right. The song is heavy and loud. That's what the band has been aiming for. What people have been saying is that its their poppier sound and that it goes against what they have been arguing but while this is radio friendly, the sound does not sound anything like what any other band has been doing. While safer, its not like you're going to be hearing this song on the "mainstream" radios. It's relatively safe but not as poppy as being highly played on stations that play the most repeated songs.

So I guess this kills all hope for a spiritual successor to A Thousand Suns.

I'm guessing them not wanting to make "poppy" songs anymore and moving away from electronics back to guitars means no more songs like Burning in the Skies, Robot Boy, Waiting for the End, Blackout, The Catalyst; in other words anything like the songs on ATS. When ATS came out, I loved how they said they were trying to replace elements and buildups they normally used guitar for with electronics. This was best seen in Robot Boy which is a soft, dreamy, completely electronic song which is one of their best works imo.

I'm sure there's at least one or EVEN (GASP!!) two lighter songs on the album. It should be great. I love rock, and it being LP I'll love it even more so.

For me the hunting party will be as big as a thousand suns i think. the hunting party will be something special not just like living things or meteora. dont get me wrong i like these albums but they aren't unique.
until it's gone also isnt unique. i think it will be the weakest song altough i really like it :'D

But did any of the band members actually say that they never want to use elements of pop or electronic music ever again?

^^ This. Plus if you consider the fact that UIG is a lot poppier and electronic than the 5 other tracks I heard on the sampler, there's obviously a chance that other tracks on here will be electronic as well.

 Relax dude. I even admitted that it was probably a bad analogy. I was looking for something to say that it was different and probably slower than the rest of the songs. For some reason, Metallica popped into my head. I cannot tell you why it did, it just did.

I think Robot Boy is one of the most atmospheric and unique songs LP has ever done. Even though they repeat words like "And you say.." or "So hold on.." it still feels natural and doesn't annoy me at all.

Robot Bly is one of two LP songs I don't like.

Yep, that's right, I only dislike 2 LP songs (and yes, this does include ALTNC and Not Alone)

There's no appropriate response to this... :p

On another note, bring on everything, Hunting Party! You want to be raw and heavy and sometimes electronic? GOOD. :)

What do you feel is so awful about the lyrics in "Robot Boy"? If your only criticism pertains to the lyrics being repeated for emphasis and such, well, that could apply to basically every Linkin Park song
