Brads solo on What I've Done is so much better than the solos i've heard from him before. I thought the sets for the Honda Civic Tour were a little lackluster (oh look! pyrotechnics!). The A Thousand Suns tour was so much better. While this was only one show I like the direction they are heading for The Carnivores Tour. My favorite so far is the Hip Hop Medley.
It's a pretty bad and basic solo. Sounds like a kid who learned how to sweep pick on his last guitar lesson and wants to show it. And on top of that he messed it up live all the time. So... yeah. If he sticks to these kind of more natural solos like the one in the video then I'm all for it, since it sounded great.
There was some problems with the sound Chester's definately putting more effort into his screams especially the last scream in Lost In The Echo was awesome
I concur.
It's confirmed: the show will be broadcasted live at SIC Radical! Source: announced live at Curto Circuito (SIC Radical's show)
Wow, there are some tone deaf assholes in that crowd. Good solo though, at least coming from Brad. It actually, you know, sounds like a solo, rather than the "solo" on the original What I've Done, or UIG.
More of that from Brad please! It adds so much to the song and gives it a little more of that 'rock' vibe. Agreed, the both the normal WID and UIG solos are pretty 'blink and you miss it' and don't stand out to me at all... I didn't really even notice it on my first listen of UIG. I'm hoping there's something more distinctive on the rest of THP - I'm a big fan of the solo at the end of GATS though, although it reminds me of the extended Faint outro a little.
