It's funny, I started reading this thread not realizing it's from 2012. I was like, whaaat? Why the hell is everybody voting LT as nr. 1? I thought everyone considered LT lazy and whatnot. But yeah, It's funny to see how hyped everyone was for that album and then how it dropped from everyone's nr. 1 to nr. 6 Poor LT..

Ah. I was meaning the poll at the top. It was curiously unvoted on, so my vote went to ATS yesterday. A shame that LT's novelty wore off so quickly. I'm sure I did indeed feel that way during the leak period, but I imagine I was mostly hyped by the last half of the album. Actually, looking at the tier list idea that failed so miserably due to having a job (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmYxBaQ29Hr5dDAwWkwwcnpyN0t5bXpWX25TelZOQnc&usp=sharing), my thoughts on the album seem to have been more on point than the quoted post indicates. Although now I'm sure I would downgrade a bunch of the first half to 1s rather than 2s.

I'm glad I never voted when Living Things released, knowing my hype would create a bias. It's a great album, but certainly not the best album the band has made. A Thousand Suns Minutes To Midnight Living Things Reanimation Hybrid Theory Hybrid Theory EP Meteora Recharged I'm hoping The Hunting Party exceeds at least Minutes To Midnight if not taking the overall throne.

A Thousand Suns forever. I remember listening to Living Things when it came out, and for the first few days, I was convinced that it was my favorite. But then, it started to get boring. Catchiness always fades. It's like chewing gum. Tastiest shit in the beginning, but the more you chew on it, the blander it gets. Finally, there's no flavor left and nothing left to explore. A Thousand Suns, on the other hand, just stays with you. It's an experience. 2nd place for me would be Hybrid Theory and Minutes to Midnight tied, followed by Living Things, and then Meteora. Not to say Metoera is a bad album, just that it's underwhelming compared to the rest, in my opinion.
