Never , why "bash" Linkin Park just for there music. :kappa: Hope it will not get bigger. There are many stupd people getting angry about Linkin Park
Too much imo. If Brad did this, i wouldnt have a problem with it. People who NEED DRUGS should thought about their influence on others , especially kids.
It feels like that Linkin Park would be the "bad boys", but why

I believe Brad would have done it. He seems like a squeaky clean kinda guy.

But, isn't it kind of "snitching" to tell the press that Linkin Park offered to buy them more weed?

Didn't the article say "Pay for" not buy weed. They'd give the cost of the loss product.

It really is a sad state of affairs we're looking at when Linkin Park are being branded the "bad guys" for supposedly complaining about something ILLEGAL.

And it really does sound like Sublime are clutching at straws on this one. First it's definitely Chester and he's supposedly allergic, then it's definitely Brad. It's appalling how dirty people will play when trying to get attention in the media.

I really don't understand where these people get off making Linkin Park the enemies in a case that involves illegal substances? My word, I guess being famous really does give you immunity to laws?

I'm going to defend Sublime a touch here. Weed should not be illegal and I would also be pissed if I was just trying to smoke a bit and someone ratted me out. I wouldn't take to Twitter and be a total dueche nozzle about it though. In the words of a wise man that is #bitchshit and it is in fact an illegal substance whether I lime it or not (this is hypothetical cause my state is smart enough to realize it's harmless). And Brad totally seems like the kind of guy to do this. Even with innocent intention.

I don't think anyone has a problem with weed, but some have just pointed out that, whether fair or not it's still illegal in some places. Also, I think the bigger problem for some of us is the clear lack of a 'culprit', you can only lose credibility if in a short timespan you're going to blame at least 3 different people. That just embarrasing, just accept you fucking ran your mouth without clear facts.

Wow. That was an interesting read. And not necessarily in a good way. Just how much credibility could there be to an interview like this? The manager bashes Brad and the band but then claims he likes Mike and Chester. In fact, he appears to be very fond of Chester, saying he "is rock-n-roll". I really am getting mixed signals from this.

Also, the bit about Mike offering to buy Sublime more weed: this would be VERY out of character for Mike. I really hope this whole thing just quickly fades from memory or Rome and his associates tell the actual truth.

Edit: I just listened to the whole interview. The manager SEEMED really confident about what he was saying to the host. I do wonder if there actually is some truth to this. Alternatively, could there have been a severe miscommunication or deliberate spread of exaggerated misinformation? I hope all of Linkin Park confirms what really happened soon. I wouldn't want something as idiotic as this to damage their reputation.

you mean that the manager likes to take it up the ass and is REALLY REALLY REALLY fond of Chester? like, he's got a panda teddy bear that he named Chester, and he likes to squeeze its "other" cheeks at night pretending to be the real Chester?

ye wouldn't surprise me dawg. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing was pretexted for getting Chester to swap places with the panda.

Keep in mind this is the same guy who was pointing the finger at LP's tour manager the day after it happened. LP doesn't even have a tour manager out there with them right now. Cheez doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, and he's just trying to bring attention to a band who will NEVER be an ounce as good as the original Sublime. Do you realize how much free publicity this is right now? The longer Sublime keep this going, the more they get headlines and 'fan support'. This is a dream for their publicist right now, and they're going to milk it for all it's worth because Cheez and Rome are both classless acts. I don't care how close "Rome" sounds to Brad, he's completely shitting on the legacy and memory of the original Rome with his completely idiotic behavior. It disgusts me that this bonehead is who they chose to continue on Brad's legacy.

People really need to stop believing everything they read. So there's a police report naming a security guard who claimed to be representing the band. So fucking what. I spent close to 30 minutes talking on FB with someone who is part of LP's touring crew, and he cannot believe how bullshit this is. Nobody acted on behalf of the band or were sent from the band, and this is total horseshit. Whoever acted on behalf of the band did so on their own accord. It's a fucking attention grab, and it's ridiculous the headache this has caused.

And even if Brad did say something? So fucking what. Sublime: You're a band signed to a major label. Quit being whiny little bitches, and buy some more pot.

This is why LPA has refused to report this on the front page, and have only resorted to retweeting band member responses to Rome/Cheez. We refuse to help perpetuate false accusations or help give Cheez or Rome any free media publicity. I won't even begin to say how many people I've had to explain this to outside of LPA who aren't Linkin Park fans and are now calling LP pussies for something they didn't do. This has really damaged LP's reputation (although false) and it's ridiculous.

So many of LP's past collaborators and tourmates have been known to indulge in illicit drugs. They've done tours with Snoop Dogg and Cypress Hill, for crying out loud

Yeah exactly. Where were the police reports when that happened? Surely if a band member had 'allergies to pot smoke' this would've happened a long time before and been an issue in the past.

What bothers me more than anything is how quickly fans are turning against Delson on other sites. Saying "Brad was always a douche", "If anyone it would be him", "I don't like how he's changing" etc. They're doing this without a shred of valid evidence to truly implicate Brad in this entire scandal. In fact...the only evidence there is of Brad being involved (if you can even call it evidence) is a statement from Cheez in an interview, that at most amounts to heresay. There's been no mention of Brad Delson in the police report that leaked out, and the only statement (loosely) tying the band to the report, is that there was a security guard claiming to be acting on behalf filing the complaint. That's it. There's no legal mention of any band members, or even any proof at this point that the security guard actually WAS a member of the band's entourage.

But of course, to some people in the fanbase I guess you're guilty until proven innocent, so it's the "lets hate on Delson" bandwagon. Ridiculous.

It truly is a shame that this nonsense has already dealt damage to the band's reputation. This is what I thought would happen. Even so, LP has a HUGE fanbase that will continue to support them, even in rough times. This "controversy" pretty much illustrates how vicious the music industry can be when publicity and recognition can be gained at the expense of someone else. Sounds a lot like current politics, doesn't it?
