This is shaping out to be an amazing album! I'm so glad they went back to there heavier roots for this album. Only a few more weeks until we hear the entire thing! Most likely a leak in the coming weeks too...
Awwww yissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. This is just incredible, and I'm not even joking, I'm not just fanstruck, this is actually really damn good. Uhhm uhhm, so, as is my job, I updated the Lyric Wiki Page for the song here! A few differences from the earlier lyrics based on the live performance, nothing too notable, one word in the chorus and some slight sentence structure changes, enjoy!
Great song! It's been 11 years since the band had a song that was this nu-metal reminiscent on an official album. Also love that Chester's screams towards the end were just live, it makes the live performance more of a unique experience. I've always felt that LP were even better live because they perform just like the album sounds but even more intense//unique, plus the HQ audio from the album will probably make a lot of that guitar/synth breakdown so much more intense/layered.
6 more official (regular length tracks). The others are 1 minute, 2 minutes and 11 seconds and Drawbar was also an interlude/mesh track. So 6 more FULL length songs, 7 if War is included.
It will be a small difference (+/- 5%) unless the actual source was different. You shouldn't go ham for getting it.
It sounds like there is a guitar doing something interesting during the bridge, but it's hardly audible. Hopefully that's just an issue with the YouTube quality and not the mixing in general.
not a huge difference, just the 320kbps sounds slightly louder and slightly more distorted. it was upconverted which is why.
Well nevermind then. I thought the guy with the CD was going to upload the original audio (mp3 file) instead of just uploading it to youtube But I also expect it to release on iTunes on the next few days, so in the meantime I'll listen to this one.
Like I said in te other thread the instrumental section could use those screams that he did at AZ in the song Other than that, amazing! THP is 3/3 so far. And looking to not only be the best LP album yet, but EASILY the best LP album yet
Before the bridge hits (which is glorious) it's so good to hear some Hahn (I assume) synth goodness behind the guitars doing that upward slide noise.
It's not always the case, but sometimes, I think a song can work better as a pop track than as a longer more progressive track. However, in this case, I just wish it was the opposite and that the song was longer. That chord progression during the bridge is brilliant, it sounds apocalyptic. But it would have worked 10000X times better after a long build up that would have started slow before becoming more and more menacing. I still like a lot of things about the song, and THP is getting a 3/3 in my book so far.
Alright. For some reason, this is worlds different from the snippet to me. May be, I should of known better. It's faster. The swishing is gone. The chorus sounds better all around. Sexy track. 10outta10, would listen again.-Yeh.
