Thanks Derek, even though I didn't read the reviews so as to save myself some suspense. I just got the overall picture that you loved THP. I absolutely love Wastelands and GATS and admire the instrumentation work done in UIG. It looks like the album is full of top notch songs. Can't wait for it. I'd advice people to not hype themselves too much since it would really ruin the songs for them. I think that's one of the reasons many sorta hated UIG because of how hyped reviews were about it, not just Derek's. It'll be interesting to see how much everyone can enjoy the album 6 months from now. ATS is the only album that I can still listen to from start to end without any breaks.

This is the first time ive logged on this site in years, I am always on it reading people's posts but never posting myself...Welp in honor of this album coming out Im back posting on here cause My excitement for The Hunting Party is like none other!!! I cant even choose what song im looking forward to most cause they all sound just amazing!!
Well sometimes very poetic lyrics just doesn't work for an aggressive in your face song. I personally have no complains about the "shitty" lyrics because I can already imagine how those songs are going to kick some serious ass. Those songs are meant to make you feel pissed and angry, not sit down and think about life - if that makes sense Some bands can do both at the same time - Like Tool - Linkin Park has never been the best at that(besides maybe on HT) BACK ON TOPIC: Seems like the second half of the album is more experimental like on LT. Can't wait to hear the whole thing! Good job Derek with the descriptions they sound promising. So far really excited for War.
