All these reviews and songs being released are seriously getting me pumped for THP... ugh the struggle is real
I love ATS more than LT and I really dig songs that don't follow a generic formula but somehow I cannot make myself to like UIB. I hope Mark The Grave is not going to be another song that I don't like.
I've gone from interested, to being really excited for MTG and ALITS. Conversely, I don't have too high hopes for AFN or FM since they seem to be standard LP, more or less. The constant praise for KTTK has piqued my curiosity a bit though.
I agree... These reviews at this point are just making it a little unbearable to wait and a MAJOR tease.
I've seen a lot of people mentioning that Rob,Chester,Mike and Brad stepped their game up big time. Now the question is to the people who listened it, Is there any instances where Joe or Dave really shine? lol
Concerning Drawbar: Didn't Chester say in his last interview, that they want to play many songs of THP live? Could be wrong, don't know exactly anymore. Maybe they don't wanted to have a monster jam /solo by Morello and taking consideration for Brad instead, so that he don't look like a fool live . But this wouldn't explain, why they invited Morello as a Guest.
They might follow a standard LP formula but sonically they are new and different. They certainly don't suck if that's what you're asking.
This is really exciting. I'm quite the Thrice fan myself. If only we'd get some Thrice-level lyrics from LP I'm just hoping there's that one uplifting, dare I say "epic" track on THP like we've had in previous albums (Powerless for its massive outro, The Catalyst with its "lift me up, let me go" part, Shadow of the Day for its final chorus, etc). Can anyone confirm if there are such uplifting moments anywhere on this album?
Thanks! That's something I look forward to with each album, hearing that one powerful song. I think I'm most eager to hear FM and ALITS.
This just made me even more excited for FM!! I have a feeling this will be my favorite track from THP, since I love LP's softer songs like TLTGYA, Valentine's Day, NRL, WFTE etc.
I wrote a bit on what I thought of the album in the Metal Hammer review thread You should check it out if you want. It's not that detailed because I feel I would just be repeating what has already been said about the album. I for the most part agree with Turtleguy and Derek thoughts and they were quite good at giving fair descriptions on them. It also made me realize just how badly that one other review was that ARTISTdirect Review was, they did a terrible job of describing the feel of each song.
Man...since the track listing came out people have difficulty naming Mark the Graves. I've seen: -Mask the Grave -Mark Your Grave -Marks the Grace -Marking Graves How hard is it? MARK THE GRAVES (possibly one of their best titles too, in fact this album has a lot of really great titles).
I actually hope it doesn't. I know that there's no stopping from leaking once it leaves the pressing plant and gets delivered to retailers, but I'm hoping the leak holds out for as long as possible.
Ah thanks mate!Do you know when the album will be on shelves here in SA? I told myself that the next time I listen to any new song it will be once I bought the album. Will be hard but will have to push through!
