Yeah but it's so short that right as you're expecting it to take off in epic fashion, the next song starts.
Derek: Does Final Masquerade have a guitar solo? seeing how you describe the song as a 80's style ballad song makes me only to believe that there are guitar solos, since a lot of 80's ballad songs have guitar solos
It's not a hair metal ballad or cheesy-pop ballad before you start expecting I Wanna Know What Love Is or something like that . It just feels 80's cause of the atmosphere and synths. As for solos? Not exactly a solo, but there is a sweet instrumental break where the guitar tone feels slightly Coldplay-ish. I think you'll enjoy it.
Has this song the same pattern as wastelands? Because Joe said in his Review that there is a break and then the chorus sung by chester alone, after that the chorus kicks in again This description for Final Masquerade could be a description for wastelands also, at least it Sounds like it
There's no rapping in FM at all. So it can't be really compared to Wastelands. It is a semi-typical LP song structure, but it's enjoyable.
Is there some good and enjoyable Brad solo (for his skill) ? Nothing special , but something nice to listen to?
I prefer FM because it's a great vocal performance by Chester all the way around. One of his best songs vocally in a while. Really shows off his range singing-wise instead of shouting the entire song. Probably going to have to give that to A Line In The Sand even if it did remind of me of GATS a little bit. It wasn't my favorite track on the CD, but there's a lot of stuff going on in that song. War's solo is fantastic. Definitely different from what Brad typically does on record.
Yes! I'd say of the 9 non interlude tracks that have Brad on full guitar duties (Rebellion not being counted obviously as that's mostly Daron), pretty much all of them have some sort of instrumental guitar portion, quick mini solo, or a legit 10 second plus solo (depending on the track). This is a very guitar driven record.
Are the solos better/clearer to hear than the solo in GATS? And is there really a 15 second scream in War like someone said on the lpfc Review? Because that would show many people that chester still can do it since some people are sad that he didnt finish his UIG scream
Derek, in terms of experimentation, where does Rebellion fall on the album? Also, you got me a little worried when you said that ALITS kinda reminds you of GATS. I like GATS, but it's probably my least favorite track on the album so far. I was hoping that ALITS would be epic like a lot of fans are saying.
