Reanimation = ATS > THP > HT = MTM > LT > METEORA > RECHARGED. I am not 100% sure about the order yet but it is in the zone with HT and MTM which are both good albums in my opinion. I really think this album will grow on some of you guys. If you want a rating: 8,25/10. Some minor things I don't like about the album are: The similarities between the chorus in Wastelands, GATS and ALITS.... UIG repetitive and cliche-ish lyrics... That's kind of it everything else was pretty damn good.
A Thousand Suns>The Hunting Party = Minutes To Midnight = Hybrid Theory>Living Things>Meteora If you wanna include Reanimation, Collision Course and Recharged then: A Thousand Suns>The Hunting Party = Minutes To Midnight = Hybrid Theory>Reanimation>Living Things>Collision Course>Meteora>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>dog poop>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Recharged
HT = THP > A Thousand Suns > Reanimation > Meteora > Minutes to Midnight > Living Things I have really a hard time deciding if I should put THP on top or not. The album is a great journey, it all flows together pretty well and is cohesive without sounding the same on every song. The interludes also works better than on ATS if you ask me. Technically, the band is on fire here, and especially Rob, who just kills it the entire time. And sonically, the rawness and rock'n'roll attitude gives the album a very distinct identity. The fact that this album comes up right after LT just makes it even more awesome, what a change. It feels so much more authentic.
Minute To Midnight > The Hunting Party > Living Things > A Thousand Suns > Reanimation > Meteora > Hybrid Theory > Recharged It's gonna take a pretty much perfect album to overthrow Minute To Midnight's rule since there is not one song I dislike on there, and it has some of my all time favorite Linkin Park songs. The Hunting Party was close, but mainly War brought it down.
1. The Hunting Party 2. Hybrid Theory 3. A Thousand Suns 4. Meteora 5. Living Things 6. Minutes to Midnight
ATS>>>>>THP>M2M=HT=LT>>>>>Meteora I still think ATS is far superior. We'll see if some of the songs on THP can grow on me. Interesting how no one is outright saying THP is his/her favorite album. Either it'll grow on all of us or the album isn't going to live up to the hype. Only time will tell, I guess.
1. A Thousand Suns 2. The Hunting Party 3. Minutes To Midnight 4. Hybrid Theory 5. Living Things 6. Meteora
Well, that's kind of expectable. The more LP releases records, the more people will have a large amount of options for Number 1 spot, and the more opinions will be divided. Also, at this point, prudence is playing a role. I for one really think THP has he potential to become my favorite, but I don't want to say it that early.
Hybrid Theory = Reanimation >> Meteora > Minutes To Midnight > A Thousand Suns >> The Hunting Party = Living Things
The Hunting Party = A Thousand Suns > Minutes To Midnight > Living Things > Reanimation > Hybrid Theory > Meteora Quite literally the ONLY thing holding The Hunting Party back from taking the throne right now is due to the fact that I've only had a day with it, and I don't want to regret my decision like last album cycle. But to me it's my absolute dream album as it encompasses the energy of Living Things mixed with the creativity and passion of A Thousand Suns.
That's probably a good thing. In life, I found the most interesting creative works (albums, movies, etc.) to be the ones that have to grow on you, that you aren't sure about after the first time you experience it. Likewise, the things that give you exactly what you think you want the first time around fade fast. See: Living Things. Also, people are probably being more cautious after the gigantic drop in opinion of that album.
