Seems the Metacritic score went down due to the Rolling Stone review. It also seems like they stopped adding reviews, but I don't know when they stop adding reviews, so I could be wrong.
At least, The Hunting Party earned the highest score of 69/100. MTM got 56/100 last 2007, ATS got 66/100 last 2010, LIVING THINGS got 60/100 (2012) & Meteora got 62/100 (2003).
Because since it's Linkin Park, they are going to take their sweet time. It seems like they always get shafted in one way or another. The Kerrang, USA Today, and Billboard reviews should've been added at least by now. Those are always added.
I'm sure they'll add them eventually. Using Waybackmachine, I found out that ATS was at 68/100 with only 4 reviews added for a few days. Just gotta give it time. Although, they did shaft Stone Sour out of having both of their latest albums marked as "Universal acclaim" by adding 5 reviews each, when both albums got 4-5/5's and 8-9/10's across the board. Either way, I don't think its too big of a deal, considering that it's tied with ATS as their highest score (as much as I'd like to see THP go above 70).
recently metacritic added reviews from consequenceofsound (42) which makes the scores went down we should wait until they added the Kerrang! reviews and see the scores go up. I saw LT in metacritic that they added reviews from kerrang! almost a month after the release
I think the general consensus is regardless of the actual Metacritic number, the album got pretty positive reviews, which is what counts at the end of the day.
Yeah, at times Metacritic can screw artists out of a great number by dismissing a lot of legit and professional publications and websites. Overall, this is probably their best received album regardless of Metacritic's score.
Meh. Don't listen to reviews. If you all enjoyed the album, who cares what other critical people think? At the end of the day most people here loved the album. That's all that matters. Linkin Park is always going to be hated on, no matter what from someone.
