The credits song reminds me of Atoms For Peace. I don't like how little lyrics are in the song though. It sounds unfinished. My favourite song from the four is the third act song.
Love all the tracks, definitely more my style of music than THP. I hope that they release these in full soon. By the way are there two separate tracks in the end credits or are those part of the same song?
Nope. http://www.grammarmudge.cityslide.com/articles/article/992333/8992.htm Brother was lying in the snow, he's dead. Well, Mike does say laying but... anyway. Lyrics correction. Landing in the Devil's drop I walked out in the snow And climbed up to the mountain top A push from death below Brother failed protecting us Somewhere far from home Lying down to rest with us Like fields of earth and coal Oh. Woah. Sailing out away from this To ports of foreign shores Let us not forget to miss The ones we can not hold. Oh. Woah.
Trailer Feature is Luna. https://soundcloud.com/jackfarrell/luna Third Act is 100% Warm Spell, it has the acoustic, folky vibe from LT Mike talked about (Think Three Band Terror and Holding Company)
Just uploaded an extended version of the closing credits song. Includes audio from a scene near the end and then the actual closing credits. It's hard to tell if the "donna" section is actually part of the first song or not, it transitions weird, but who knows. It's all here in this video:
Yeah, thought so too. Though that would make it five songs and not four and they're only credited on four tracks.
The beat of that "closing credits song" reminds me of "Blackbirds", and the ending reminds me in some way of "No Roads Left". No doubt it's a MTM-era song!
Hahah this is so dope !! We get even more music Edit: (Besides the Donnas ) I think the guys write better music when they are inspired by something specific, like by a movie. I love these songs. Or like, New Divide. I think, when they are left to their own songwriting topics, they tend to be kinda boring or maybe too abstract. When it's some of these in Mall movie for example, they sound like they have more of a theme or a message. Like, wtf are Mike and Chester talking about in ALITS? Imo, LP need to focus on writing GOOD, S U B S T A N T I A L music as a band. I get THP, but honestly, most of the time, they sound like they are just fucking trying to sound like a heavy rock band for the sake of just sounding heavy. Drop the gimmicks LP. Stop having a "theme" for every damn album, and just WRITE GREAT MUSIC. Stop being like "HURR DUURR THIS IS OUR HEAVY RECORD, AND DURRRR THIS IS OUR EXPERIMENTAL ONE." Just, STFU AND WRITE AWESOME SONGS BRAH. \m/ Sources: Movement I, Amorphous Movement II, Toolbox Movement III, Visceral
I have a theory that the credits only cover fully-fledged songs, which there are probably just four of in the film, and any other tracks that we hear are just cues in the score
Wow. These are all fantastic. That credits song (yes, even with the Donna parts lol) may become one of my favorite LP songs ever if a full/HQ version is ever released. And the Third Act song has some of the best lyrics the guys have ever done. Wow, give me the Mall OST already.
Are those bells/chimes in the opening song sampled from Silent Hill? I swear that they are from the OST of Silent Hill 2 or maybe the first movie.
