"Third Act Song" is so fucking good. THAT is what "folk influence" should have been on Living Things. God damn. Lyrically, really interesting, too. The opening song is great too, and the credits song. Really pumped for the soundtrack. It's a really great sound for the band.
If Third Act song is longer it has potential to be a top 5 LP song for me. I want an entire LP(or Mike solo singing album) like this.
Looks like I was right to expect this waking up Looking forward to the full OST release for the score as well as the soundtrack.
I don't know if the problem is that english is not my native language, but I really don't get why the third act song is getting so much love. Instrumentally it's NOTHING special. Can someone explain to me if it's only for the lyrics? And if yes, what they're talking about to make them so great?
This. That or I'd like to see them make some really dark songs similar to No Roads Left, Blackbirds, etc EDIT: Oh god, I'm already talking about what I'd like to see on LP7!
Someone should extend the 'Terrified' opening credits song, it needs to be longer and have more screams
Sorry if this has been mentioned but the Third act song is without a doubt a demo from the ending part of "Until It Breaks", UIB should have ended this way lol.
Is it just me, or do the lyrics in the first of the closing credits tracks sound like temp lyrics? "This is the first line here." "This is the first line again." And so forth with "second" line and "final" line. Would be quite funny if the studio releasing this got hold of a workprint (complete with temporary scoring) and the version that ends up releasing in the States has finished tracks. The "da na na" in the second closing credits track lends some weight to that theory
Even though I always like hearing this stuff from them I am glad they shunned this direction. I can see what Mike meant by it being derivative of current music (even though some of these are very old). I can get this kind of stuff from about 5 other bands, done better. Still I appreciate an overly pretty LP song like Ammosick.
"Without a doubt" = "I think this song sounds vaguely like the ending of Until It Breaks, so it MUST be true." In other words, no it's not. It doesn't even sound like Until it Breaks, the demo version of the ending part of Until it Breaks had nearly identical lyrics to what ended up in the final version and was sung by Brad just like the final version was. This song has NOTHING to do with Three Band Terror (a.k.a. the REAL demo of the ending to Until it Breaks which has been out for months - listened to any LPU tracks lately? I'm guessing not...), and people need to stop posting their opinions as facts.

The opening credits song would have sounded 100 times better than KTTK if it was put in KTTK's spot. It just needs a little bit of work, but it would have been way better IMO
