UIG has such cliche lyrics but it feels emotionally in tune with the lyrics to me, so I don't dislike it. My least favorite in the album is ALITS, that's the one song that feels forced (heavy for heavy's sake). I especially dislike Chester's singsongey chorus line, a big mehhh. MTG on the other hand is my favorite on the album, I love the seamless transitions between soft and heavy parts. I can see why some may dislike it, but I typically enjoy the "lesser" LP songs (Skin To Bone, for instance).
I think it's one of the top 5 LP songs of all time, but that's just me. I can see why people don't like it though, it has very simple lyrics and a pretty simple guitar line which drives the song.
All For Nothing deserves none of the hate it gets IMO. I absolutely love mikes verses, and I like page's vocals.
lol at the last option. everyone has a least favourite it's gutting seeing mark the graves drowning in votes. such a good song, personally one of the best songs the band has made over the last four records. drawbar gets my vote, not because it's a bad song but because of morello's minimal contribution
I voted for Mark the Graves because it doesn't really have the big moment that really ties the song together. The song's parts just seem a little forgettable to me and it is the only song off the album that I don't actively search for. Perhaps if it had a chorus that made was catchy or give it staying power in comparison to other songs.
"Until It's Gone." It is too generic and the lyrics feel uninspired. The band could have done far better here. I always skip this track, in honesty.
I don't skip it, but that's only because I never skip tracks. Dude, there's a Don't have a least Favourite option. That would completely ruin the song in my opinion.
All for Nothing. Had All for Nothing not been such a crap-fest, I would have picked A Line in the Sand.
same here. I just didnt skip it if i cant reach the "Next Song" button It grows to me alot, i didnt hate it anymore , but, is a kind of boring to me, nothing that "catch" me .
I would vote Until It's Gone I really like the song but THP wasn't a record that really needed a song like UIG
Lost at how Mark the graves is getting so many votes! One of the best LP songs of all time in my opinion, but each to their own.
Experimental tracks like MTG for me usually take time to grow on me, but once that happens they become the songs I like the most. MTG didn't really resonate with me much from the first listen, but it's definitely growing me. I experienced a similar thing with Until It Breaks from LT, I kinda disliked it when I first heard it but over time I got the essence of the lyrics in the song and came to really appreciate as one of the best songs LP has made.
