I always thought the song would have been better kept instrumental at that part instead of having a rap verse. But at the same time the "When you fall, I take my turn and fan the flames as your blazes burn." bit could always stay.

The Rap in BID makes the song a bit more interesting for me. If it didn't have that there's nothing much special about BID in all honesty. Good song. But very very generic. And i know the rap part is generic as it gets, it still adds to the song IMO.

Either way I do like Mike's new rap verses. But I'd love to see him tackle something like "Dedicated" again. Probably one his best work.

I'm not quite sure as to what I want on the album.
I definitely want singing, I love it when Mike sings, especially No Roads Left. Why the fuck would they not release that song (until now)?
I liked Mike's rapping on The Rising Tied and We Major. Though I'm not sure if he'll go LP style and move on from that style and do something new. If so, I'd want a few tracks to be something like Hands Held High/Debris.

I find "BURN IT DOWN" to be quite unique because of how electronic it is.

I rather have an solo album of Mike singing electronic indie music than another hiphop album.

No way. Mike rocks the mic like no other and he's certainly not an exceptional singer.

I'd love for his next Fort Minor album to be a lot more lyrical and abstract in a way. Lupe Fiasco's song The Instrumental(produced by Mike) is something I can expect from Mike

I would really like an mike shinoda instrumental album. Nothing against his rap or singing skills but man the VMA score..the raid score or even the Remixes he did are THE BOMB.

I'd really love to see this come to fruition. I'm not much of a hip-hop / rap fan, mostly because I do not identify with the lyrical themes of most artists within those genres, but Mike's hip-hop contributions to LP were always the exception. I loved his work on FM. And SOB did a great job contributing to that album. My favorites from The Rising Tied were...

Right Now, Where'd You Go?, Red to Black, and The Hard Way.

I find Mike to be one of the few people who can write rap and not make it about "Growing up on the streets with mah boys" or "Dat ass wiggle"... Which is a good thing! I find a lot of the songs on Rising Tied to be exceptionally relateable, which draws me towards it. Red to Black in particular being an exceptional example of a song that personally hits me very hard.

I still listen to FM everyday, and the one thing that Mike gets right is having the power to let his music be relateable.

He is one of the best to make music in the third-person view instead of first-person.

This. The best FM songs are not even on that album, they're on the "We Major" mixtape. Spray Paint & Ink Pens, The Hard Way and S.C.O.M are stellar.
