I know it'd be "financially impossible" as Grohl said, but I just think the concept of recording the album in different cities around the world would be much more exciting than different cities in America. Integrating the vast sounds different parts of the world has to offer just seems so fucking cool.
Yes. The intersection forming the figure 8 counts. That piece of the artwork represents Los Angeles. It would be a great album idea, but seeing as Sonic Highways is, as Grohl also said, "a love letter to the history of American music", it would make 1000x times more sense to keep it within the boundaries of the United States.
New trailer out for Sonic Highways. I wish I had HBO. I really like what I'm hearing! Sonic Highways is shaping up to be a fantastic record! One thing bothers me though. The new song used prominently in the trailer (assuming it is) reminds me a little too much of Dio's Holy Diver. Maybe that influence was supposed to be apparent, since the album is "a love letter to American music." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdxysbe_aiA Skip to 1:19 for the song.
Oh my God, this looks like it's going to be a fantastic production. Exciting times for Foo Fighters fans.
It's legit just either (a) - LP are awesome I love In The End and Numb, I haven't heard anything from them since like 2005 though or (b) - oo00mmmMmmgGGgg LP s0ld out!1!! everything after m3teora is trAsh! Old LP>New LP from my experience at least. on topic - this looks exciting
That's waht I'm thinking about right now for their next album after SH. As for the new HBO series, I have basic cable, so I'm just gonna wait for the Blu Ray/DVD boxset when it comes out in stores at some point.
Can't help but think, "What is a British artist doing on a documentary on American music and an American-made album?".
I can't help but think, "What is a person who has claimed to hate the Foo Fighters doing so often in a thread about their new album?"
