It seems the closing song from Joe Hahn's movie "Mall" has appeared online today in full and can be listened to below. This doesn't seem like an official release, though Joe Hahn has stated that the soundtrack may not see a retail release at all, but instead will be made available at some point in some way for fans. No sign of any of the other "Mall" tracks at the moment but we'll post them if and when they do show up. Check out the new song below. This track is one of four new songs that Linkin Park used for Joe Hahn's movie "Mall" and is titled either White Noise, Warm Spell, Luna or Ammosick. Which track title relates to which song has caused a lot of speculation, so we're reluctant to title this until Linkin Park release the official listing. Let us know your thoughts on the track on the LPA Forums. Source: YouTube, reported by Infamous Davy Fresh Cobra
Cue the lot saying this is automatically better than the whole of Hunting Party. Which IMO would be a hyperbolic statement.
Well I'll be the first to say that was incredibly underwhelming. Felt like an unfinished MTM beat demo with Mike's vocals thrown on for good measure. Even then, his so called "godly" vocals sounded WAY more impressive on The Hunting Party. But I'll wait and watch this post get washed away in a sea of "zomg teh orgasms".
Here's to hoping that the next album is softer and beautifully melodic. I want the next album to really push what Mike and Chester can do with their voices. I feel like they've only scratched the surface in that department.
Nice to finally hear the song without the random French dialogue in the middle. So the "donna" parts at the end of this video aren't part of the song?
It doesn't seem like it. I remember people talking about that when I did the audio rips from the movie. It's pretty odd considering there's only four listed songs in the credits from Linkin Park though, so I guess they just didn't count it as an actual song or something.
Here's what I came up with for lyrics if no one else tried to figure them out yet. This is the first line here This the first line again Watch as it disappears I know the last line, the last line never pulled me in This is the second line here This is the second line again Why does it feel like fear As if the last line, the last line is slowly closing in This is the the last line here This is the last line again Watch as I disappear And the last line, the flat line, goes here at the end
Whereas most Linkin Park songs have an incredibly rigid structure never-to-be-deviated-from, this is nice and free-flowing. I like it.
This is just so pretty I like it a lot. I won't say it's better than the Hunting Party cause I loved The Hunting Party, but I am hoping to see some softer stuff get brought back in the next record. Both LT and THP were efforts to help their live show get kicked up a notch, but I'd really love some softer tracks, as those end up being my favorites in a lot of cases (LOATR, Shadow of the Day, Robot Boy, etc.)
