Seriously, I think that in this point, an Indie album of Mike singing like this (and like the Trailer song) will be really awesome.

 

As others have said, I just really enjoy how much this contrasts The Hunting Party. I recognize that this may not be the best song ever, but I still find it enjoyable. I love Mike's voice so much.

Very good ! I like the soft side of LP and this one is very atmospheric, it could be more polished though. It reminds me the first XX album.

 

Why is this version significantly slowed down/lower-pitched than the previously posted version? Either they sped it up for the movie (why?!), or this version isn't actually legit somehow.

If this were a commercial single, everyone would be screaming "hrng fucking genre hopping radio baiting CORPORATE SELLOUTS!". It's a nice chill song, but it's nowhere near great. It's like he's doing the first draft of a freestyle poem over the snow/ice level of a N64 game.

I like the vibe of the song, but I think it's worth noting that it sounds a lot like an MS solo project. Maybe this was among the batch of "indie" songs that got scraped for the visceral stuff this time around?
