Linkin Park have released a new bundle of bonus audio material to accompany their new Stagelight software package. The new package called features "hundreds of exclusive sounds from Linkin Park's personal sound library" for Stagelight users to play with. Among these are isolated elements of previously-released music both new and old, including several songs off the band's 2014 release "The Hunting Party", as well as demo tracks released exclusively for the bundle.

Featured in the package is a previously-unheard Linkin Park demo called "Asteroids", a three-minute dark and brooding beat-driven instrumental that recalls the sounds of trip-hop and 90s industrial electronica. Fans can hear the track with a purchase of new Linkin Park Stagelight bundle via the Open Labs website. A free trial edition is also available for anyone who wishes to give Stagelight a try before looking at purchasing a full license.

In an email via Linkin Park's mailing list, band member Mike Shinoda has announced that the Stagelight bundle, as part of the "Linkin Park Edition", will be discounted to $9.99 USD; meanwhile, for users who already own the "Linkin Park Edition" of Stagelight, the new bundle will reduced in price by 50%. Both of these deals are part of Linkin Park's Black Friday sale.

Can anyone fill me in on what was included in the first bundle and how it compares to this one?

I have both LP packs and the Timbaland pack, but there are only sound loops and drum sounds. After the 2.0 update, all the demos are gone, there were no demo in the pack i bought. Like what?

First bundle for stagelight 1.0, had maybe a wider aspect of sounds and loops, but it's just drumsounds/drum fx's and some sound loops, no instrument addons or such.
When stagelight updatet to 2.0 the first LP bundle got altered a bit with about 100mb. But for every demo disappeared. This pack doesn't have that many sounds, but they seem more focused on ripping actuall LP tracks and demos.

It's more or less the same, just.. more sounds!

So they removed the demos from Stagelight?

    That's really lame.

Animals, Quazar, and Sushi all sound like riots. We have less than 20 seconds of them but they're already 100x better than LPU XIV :p

Bits and pieces of "Keys", "Guilty", "Until It's Gone" and "Mark The Graves" - that much is certain.

Where are these new samples? I downloaded the new version of Stagelight, but I can't find them. At the first package I didn't have this problem.

Asteroids sounds like Coal or something from pre-HT era/pre-ATS era.

Sushi is a good sample, sounds amazing :D

WTF? LPU XIV is fucking amazing. Malathion+Tritonus, Aubrey One, After Canada, all songs are very good. Stagelight samples are boring, except Sushi...

LP2 bundle actually DO have additional keyboard sounds. It's better than i thought.

What I do hate tho are that the keyboard samples has a higher tempe when hitting higher notes, than just a pitch change wich would be alot better.

Made a test track, using only sounds from the bundle. Effects like delay are standard effects tho,

Is it just me or does Lorax have quite a familiar rhythm past the 12 second mark, like I heard it in another song before?

Nah it feels like it comes from a 90s dance song or something, not from LP. That "da-da-da...da...da...du-du-du...du...du" melody and rhythm really sounds familiar.

Keyboard samples has me interested. But they're not even multi-sampled? So it's like they took a note, sampled it in an mpc and spread it across the pads so when you hit a higher note you can hear the sample playing back faster? Nah. No thank you. That's super lazy.
