    What is this....

Guess I shouldn't have pegged them as one of my favorite bands after just one album.

0/3 so far. I'll give the album a chance still, obviously.

Glad I saw them live twice before they started coming out with these songs!

Sorry,I don't understand you. Did you tought they were going for a Night Visions Part 2 ? Because it was clear from far before the release of I Bet My Life that they wanted to change direction. They do are moving on now. Obviously not everyone have to like their new musical influences (hell,I really hated I Bet My Life until last week) but I think that the fans should change mindset a little and try to open up to what Imagine Dragons have to say now. Just a personal opinion.

Okay, today I fell apart under peer pressure (read: my mom made me listen), and listened to "Shots". I've only had like 5 listens so far so I'm not gonna go to much into it. I like the song. It is however, so far, my least favorite of the three released. It might be a grower though. Very reminiscent of their older stuff, and I don't know how to feel about that yet. It's getting better with every listen though.

Also, seems like I'm going to the October 13 Munich show! :awesome:

No, I wasn't expecting a Night Visions part 2, but I was expecting good music, and good music is not what I am hearing.

Gotta admit though, you do lay it out as facts.

I always thought these guys were brilliant, just never really sat down and gave their material a thorough listen. I liked their initial direction more than anything and thought that their lyrics were phenomenal.

When I heard "I Bet My Life", I was disappointed. I didn't like it at all. At first. - Now, I'm over not liking the new direction. While it's still not the first place I'd like to see them go, I have to admit, this new music is pretty good in its niche. So far, it doesn't lay a finger on their previous, but I like it for what it is. "I Bet My Life" has a refreshing sentiment and humble energy, "Gold" is pretty catchy, and "Shots" is pretty memorable and awesome on the lyrical and melody fronts.

Not what I wanted, but I like it! So far.

Do you want me to say In my opinion after every post? That gets old. Trust me, people get annoyed of it. You should just know that it is my opinion.

The band played I'm So Sorry and Summer last night.

This time I'm not gonna give in and listen to it.

I'm So Sorry is epic, reminds me of "Beast Of America" by Nico Vega,I'm in love with it,can't wait for the official audio. Also,a snippet of the song was used for the tour promos.
    Summer is very particular,not bad.

    I don't like I'm So Sorry :(

Summer easily the best of the album so far.

1/5 so far for me

"I'm So Sorry" is probably their most #visceral song so far and kinda reminds me of Kongos.

"Summer" is ok and surprisingly simple, and the guitar riff of the chorus kinda sounds like this song. It looks like it's gonna be the "Amsterdam" of the album.

I'm surprised by the varied direction of this album. "Shots" is still my favorite so far.

HQ live performances of "Summer" and "I'm So Sorry"

Not a fan of "I'm So Sorry" so far, will wait until the studio version before I can give my full opinion on it. I do like the chorus though!

"Summer" is great! Easily my favorite so far, imo. It doesn't have the high energy of the other songs, it's laid back and nice. Really excited for the studio version.

Still looking for that one "huge" song though, maybe there won't be any.

They're coming to Philadelphia in June. So. Tempted.

EDIT: I'm so in love with the beat for "Summer". I want the instrumental for this sooooo bad.

EDIT Again: Nvm, now I love "I'm So Sorry". Dat chorus.

I'm going to love this album.
