Remember how QWERTY, New Divide and ALTNC were all misdirections? I understand this is not the same as that but I feel like now, the band's gonna do the opposite of what we want and expect. Quick, everyone expect the opposite.
The only misdirection was QWERTY because Mike stated that MTM was gonna be their heaviest album. New Divide and ALTNC were simply singles that the fans used to misdirect themselves. This isn't to say I'm trying to bring anyone's hopes up because regardless, the band does what they want, not what we want.
Indeed. In the case of both of these songs, Shinoda and co. went out of their way to emphasise that they were not indications of how the then-upcoming Linkin Park albums would sound.
I can hear the bleeding lyrics right now Also, I was kidding before, I was just making fun of youtube commentors who kept saying they were let down after QWERTY and New Divide.
i love mike's vocals on this song. i dont know which verion i like better. on another note, this isnt linkin park related, but check out this song at 4:10. It should be illegal to make music this good. The vocalist is amazing
Same! I like the guitars and drums in the original but I like the repeating vox melody more with the stripped-down instrumentation
This is so good. I'm loving the acoustic guitar on this track. It's so refreshing to see the band do such stuff. For some reason, I feel the band is very confident with the music they make these days.
Man , i think we all know what Tocaraca means with "death growl singing". ALso if its not the right word to describe the way Chester sings
That's true for all exams except for Meteora I think Some decisions seem absurd to us but the band's always confident in interviews. I think its because they vote on everything and decide, they know it's what they want. Just an assumption though.
The band were confident in "Meteora" as an album, in that they thought it would prove that "Hybrid Theory" wasn't a fluke. If that's what you mean
