Repeat it 12 times and you've got an album of political garbage. Add in TLTGYA and HHH for added effect as bonus tracks. I'm joking, but it's fun to be contrary
Sure. I don't know why people look at it like it's some guitar masterpiece, even compared just to Linkin Park discography, it's just a level above Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Still relies on powerchords and octaves, and the few guitar solos it has are pretty much hit and miss. The In Pieces one, (not even) arguably the most complicated one in Linkin Park's discography up until The Hunting Party, just does not fit with the song. Songs wise, I'd honestly have rubbish like Easier To Run, which is somewhat enjoyable at least rather than try hard songs like In Pieces. The album has higher highs than the first two albums (Given Up, What I've Done, No More Sorrow, The Little Things Give You Away) and somehow, if Numb and Don't Stay hadn't existed, it would've had lower lows than those albums. (Leave Out All The Rest, Bleed It Out, Valentines Day, In Pieces...) At the end of the day, the songs individually are okay. The album is just a snoozefest. Note: In Between is one of the best songs on the album.
APFMH is not that great. I could live without it ever being played live again. Just wanted to put that out there while we're at it.
I've pointed this kind of thing out earlier in this thread, I believe ... but these ^ are actual unpopular opinions. Not to single these people out, because they're not the only ones to have gotten it right but, yeah Anyway, I think that Chester's singing in "Blackbirds" is boring as hell.
The Catalyst is a bunch of techno shit, needs more power chords and screaming. Did I do it right? Did I sarcasm correctly? XD
- I think that BTH is one of the worst Linkin Park songs ever. - LIVING THINGS is one of the band's best albums. - RECHARGED was pretty interesting. - Out of Ashes and The Rising Tied are damn great. - It's good that New Divide is a single, I don't see the song fitting in any album. - Until It Breaks is one of my favorite LP song ever. - I don't see Linkin Park without Rick Rubin being the producer of Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns and LIVING THINGS. - Chester's voice isn't even getting worse. - Live in Texas and Road to Revolution are NOT their best lives. Live in Madrid and Red Square duh... - Not even hyped about an EP with Eminem or Skrillex or any other person. - LIES GREED MISERY, Waiting for the End, Papercut, and IN MY REMAINS are some of their best songs. - Given Up deserves its first single's place on Minutes to Midnight and No More Sorrow pretty sucks. - Robot Boy is pretty boring. - Session is better than a lot of Linkin Park songs. - The Little Things Give You Away is the best album closer. I love you. ♥
Yeah, and Meteora is better than all of the rest of the band's discography. When They Come for Me ain't got shit on Nobody's Listening.
We all have a little bit of that Meteora kid, the 10 year old boy in Cleveland, inside of us. All of us.
