As the title suggests, from the MALL soundtrack, which is your top song out of the 4 songs containing lyrics? And if you can be bothered...explain why! Even though I actually really like all 4 of them, I've found that 'It Goes Through' is the track that I go back to the most. It is obviously very different from any material LP has released in the past and the chorus is sickeningly catchy (if not simple).
Going with White Noise. It Goes Through is a close contender, but I really dislike the second verse. I may have even been tempted to pick Dancer if it had vocals.
I don't know which one is the best ... but I will say that I personally like "Devil's Drop" the most. Still far from perfect in my eyes, though.
None of them ever really grew on me besides White Noise. I thought Devil's Drop was okay, but I didn't like the others too much.
I find myself listening to the Last Line the most. White Noise is good, but I would only listen to it after I've exhausted a bunch of other heavy tracks, which is kinda impossible now with THP.
White Noise is the only complete song I think. It also has a cool sound to it but I voted for Devil's drop purely for the nice lyrics. I was so suprised when it came out. Mike, we know you can write some beautiful lyrics man, stop with the AFN bullshit
Strictly going by the versions on the final soundtrack, Devil's Drop. The original Ammosick demo destroys the final version of The Last Line though, so I'd pick that if I could.
Woah, weren't you yellow? Edit: I just previewed these songs on ITunes and I saw the review I don't even remember writing
What are you talking about,Tony?Weed is part of his name. That 'R' in 'Reed' is actually a 'W' with accent.
I voted White Noise. When I heard the full song for the first time, damn. The bridge was amazing to my ears xD. I used to listen to it a lot of times. But, as Astat said, Ammosick is amazing. The demo version is relaxing and has a great vibe on it. I can't believe they "ruined" it on 'The Last Line'
All four are amazing tracks. But I felt Devils Drop should take the cake. It's a gorgeous folky ballad. I didn't expect a song anything like it for the mall. The beginning of it really reminds me of "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd. That being said "It goes through" is still genuinely great. I love the mood and atmosphere this song creates. Would I be wrong calling it a "trance" song? Also could anyone link me to some of the originals demos from the mall soundtrack? E.g. Luna, ammosick and Dancer with skat vocals? I don't think I ever heard them when they came out apart from in the mall trailer.
Definitely "The Last Line". That and "It Goes Through" are the only MALL songs I found myself repeating, although I really like "White Noise" and "Devil's Drop". But "Last Line" mostly because they really nailed the sentimental vibe it was going for, and it's just a really great song for me overall.
