Also features Mike Mushok from Staind, Corey Lowery, and Rich Beddoe from Finger Eleven. First teaser: I definitely think there's promise here. The small clip has me more excited for this band than anything 3DG has put out without Adam. Their debut performance is at Rock on the Range May 16th.
I dislike pretty much every band each of these guys are involved / were involved with, but this teaser suprised me. There's actually some potenial here. Adam Gontier has always been a great vocalist, I hope this time he actually has great music to back him up.
I didn't think the trailer had enough to accurately make any conclusions. I'm watching this for sure though.
Loved Adam's 3DG, haven't heard from Finger Eleven in a while, and I liked Staind back then. I'm actually pretty excited about Saint Asonia! The teaser sounds wicked.
The band's first song, "Better Place", has been released.
I liked the instrumentation but the vocals could have been better. Still excited to hear more from them.
I mean, did they even try with this song? I was hoping Adam would start making acoustic songs or at least change things up a bit. This sounds.... Like everything else we have heard from him. The lyrics are bad. The riffs are muddy and uninteresting. Even the pedals they use are so generic and thoughtless(I guess that follows with the genre but GOOD bands at least write kickass riffs) Every decent hard rock band would be able to make a song like this in a few days - and every good hard rock band would make it better. The solo is the only redeeming quality of the song but not enough to make it worth listening to,
The opening/main riff sounds extremely similar to "Running from Me" by Trust Company. Like, it's uncannily similar. They both start off palm-muted with very little distortion before they kick in. They're different, obviously, but still.
