Muse is a British band, regardless of their popularity, their US sales have never been particularly high.
Their 2006 and 9 albums hit gold, that's pretty good. Also nearly a decade ago, but they had a solid US run as far as numbers went.
This is their first U.S. #1, however. Interestingly enough, their last 3 albums have peaked at 3, 2, and 1 respectively in the U.S.
