Never was a fan of their old work, but quite liked Sempiternal and Drown and I dig these new tracks. Finally some melody instead of all the screamo. And Throne does sound like a LP if you ask me, thats probably why I like it
People on youtube say it sounds like Faint. Never noticed it at first but if you just pay attention to the instrumental, you can hear it. Vocals would have second guessing though
I saw the line there and thought that was the end of your post and into your signature Anyways, I'm happy that they're remastering it/re-recording it, because it sounds like poop. I still like the song though.
But Drown totally sounds like a My Chemical Romance track, and the two new ones straight up sound like they were pulled from a generic radio-rock band from 2004
Track by Track run down for the new album http://www.rocksound.tv/features/re...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer Also a new song, True Friends, is set to premiere next week. Zane Lowe already has the song set for its Beats1 debut.
Really digging that Throne track. It's really a safe and basic song, but it got a great vibe. Plus, that transition from the second chorus to that short dark doomy bridge is just awesome.
The lyrics so far on this album (and the ones mentioned in the review) have been prety generic. But then again, I didn't expect much from these guys.

What I would consider lyrical cliches in True Friends: 1. I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you 2. Cause' I’ll forget but I’ll never forgive you 3. It fell apart right from the start 4. I couldn’t even see the forest for the trees 5. You broke my heart & there’s nothing you can do 6. It’s kind of sad cause what we had 7. Well it could of been something 8. You can run but you can’t hide The vocals(especially in the start) sounded overly whiny. I hate to repeat myself, but the instrumentation and production sounds like it is taken straight from a generic rock band from the early to mid 2000s. Of cause they always add that slight "heavy" edge but it just ends up sounding like a rehash. Throne and Drown were at least somewhat enjoyable but Happy Song and True Friends are truly awful.
