    You're slow. A month to read 1100 pages? :p

I finished reading the original Halo trilogy – The Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike – a couple of days ago. Now I'm reading the first book of the Mass Effect expanded universe: Revelation.

I wanted to start reading Star Wars: The Old Republic – Revan but I don't own it and I don't get paid for another ten days, so I decided to start on Mass Effect since I hate not having anything to read. I'm almost always involved in some book or another. I can't remember the last time I went more than two or three days in a row without reading something.

So that means I'm not going to be able to read Revan until I finish the four books in the Mass Effect series. We'll see how long it takes me. It took me a month and a half to read Halo, but only about three days to read the last book (First Strike) since I was only reading a chapter at a time.

I'm reading the second book in the Gentlemen Bastard series by Scott Lynch. Lies of Locke Lamora was really good but I'm taking my time with this one.

A Separate Peace was really good, actually. Really depressing ending.

Just read Halo: Saint's Testimony. This one was really interesting since it dived into a subject matter which sci-fi stories always stray away from which is the rights of an A.I. A nice little short read worth the $0.99 price for any fan of the series.

Now debating whether I want to buy Hunters in the Dark or finish Primordium first.

Very similar theme to the series I mentioned, Star Wars Republic Commando, which gets into the moral implications of the Republic's clone army. I might have to have a look at your book since it sounds a little similar. :p

You really don't need to know a whole lot about the Halo series to keep up with the short story. Even if you were confused at a certain reference or who a certain character was, you can always just google it.
