I'm not going to lie, I can't believe how many people are bringing this up. Not being able to hear Kilgrave isn't a good idea, not by a long shot. Being unable to hear him could be even more dangerous than being able to hear him in the first place. There are myriad things he could say and if you can't hear him, there's a good chance a lot of bad shit's going to happen. The reason Trish wore them was because Jessica was watching her back and Jessica didn't want anything to happen to Trish since she was using her, essentially, as bait.
This. Also, I'm very sure Kilgrave can just command one or a bunch of people not wearing headphones to take them off others if that were the case.
I get your side of it. But I'm not sure how I feel about them not even mentioning this idea, let alone put it to practice til the very final episode. I'm sure they could incorporate this headphone trick with some other elaborate plan to capture him more efficiently. It definitely wouldn't have been just "hey get a headphone and we're set". I'm saying that it could've been part of a bigger plan to get the guy..
Yeah I was hoping for a better design. Doesn't look like its much of an improvement from the s1 costume.

That's a dumb complaint. That's like taking the bat ears off Batman's cowl. The whole reason he had whatshisname put the horns on the cowl's because he's "got the devil" in him. It just so happened to work out in some tropey way that the media gave him the name "Daredevil" rather than himself. The image of the cowl with the horns is literally one of the most iconic aspects of Daredevil's character, and elicits fear among his enemies. Removing them would be stupid.
It just doesn't look good in real life. They couldn't have designed it to look any worse. Just the red suit and him kicking ass would be enough for people to think of him as a devil. The horns seem unrealistic in a series that is going for the realistic angle. It looks corny. Maybe they should have just done horns that looked good? Doesn't seem impossible.
First, I apologize for my post coming across so condescendingly. I typed it up pretty quickly right when I got home and then went and did something else so I didn't realize how it came across. Second, I've got to disagree with you, lol. I think the horns are about the only thing about the costume that they got right. I think they look fine and like I said, they're an iconic piece of his costume, and removing them would be silly. Third, let's be real here, this is a world full of superheroes and vigilantes... I think some silly horns on a street-level hero's cowl are fine compared to some of the shit we're likely to get in the future, lol.
