Probably my favorite remix from Mike yet. And there are a few of his I fucking love - "Gold Guns Girls", "What I've Done", "Victimized". This is just so dirty and unngh.
Bruh, how could you forget about Krwlng and P5hng Me Aw*y? Nah Derek, I'm in the middle ground. I love the beat, hate the vocals.
After listening to this remix first and then the original song, I can definitely say that I prefer the instrumentals over the vocals to a staggering degree. You can count me as a member of the "middle ground" camp, Derek I didn't even know the original song existed until I read the article. BTW, what does anyone think of the "One Step Closer" sample in the original? I really enjoyed hearing the guitar riff reworked and sampled in so seamlessly, along with Chester's vocals.
Both versions of this track are probably the biggest piles of junk I have ever heard. I want my 5 minutes back. There was not one Mike Shinoda Remix I disliked by Mike EVER ..maybe that was my problem..that I had very high expectations..but I really think this is horrible.
I think you should think again of the definition of the world "seamlessly". The sampling in the original is pretty damn bad.
