Reviving this thread since Thrice has released a teaser clip for new music on their facebook page.
They're one of my favourite bands, so I'm pretty excited for their long awaited comeback album.
It has been five years since their last release Major/Minor.

You can find the teaser here:

    https://www.facebook.com/officialthrice/videos/10153482518743527/

This sounds promising. It has a Veisshu vibe to it (mixed with some Major/Minor)
There is no title and exact release date as of yet, but be sure to look out for a 2016 release.

Nice! I'm seeing them in Toronto in June.

Really excited for this. I've only ever listened to their Alchemy Index EPs in full, but I do know other songs. I need to catch up with their discography.

I recommend the following in their discography:

The Artist And The Ambulance (2003) - post hardcore/heavy Thrice at their aggressive peak
Vheissu (2005) - perfect culmination of heavy/soft Thrice
    Beggars (2009) - very raw alternative/indie Thrice
Major/Minor (2011) - an evolution of Beggars, with much more of a punchy rock vibe

I'd also absolutely recommend the lead vocalist (Dustin Kensrue)'s solo album, Carry The Fire. It's been quoted as Americana/Indie in sound and carries come of the best melodies of his career. Also the track Carry The Fire is one of the most satisfying songs I've ever laid ears on.

^I was going to check out Vheissu soon. I really love Red Sky, and Image of the Invisible.

Vheissu is a fantastic album. As already mentioned it's a great mix of their earlier heavier sound and their softer newer style.
'Of Dust And Nations' might just be one of my favourite songs ever.

EDIT: Apparently the first song of their new album comes out tomorrow. It's called Blood On The Sand

    Yesh!!!

Ready for this. Also, Vheissu remains classy to this day, such a good record.

In the continuation of Beggars and Major/Minor, maybe a bit more agressive. Track is sorta standard, but still nice.

Ah, the ending vocals surprised me a bit. It had been a while, right?

That was badass. Definitely a step forward from Major/Minor. Really enjoyed the grit in the vocals, and dear god this band knows how to write some sick lyrics.

Track seems to be a growner for sure though. Already more of a jam now :)

His vocal peformance on the track is ON, FUCKING, POINT. It's very Post-Grungey, but in a good way. The lyrics are also really great and socially relevant.

I can't get over how good this song is. Dustin is definitely one of my favourite vocalists ever.
I love the grittier, heavier vocal-sections reminiscent of their early days.
    What a comeback!

Do they have anything like The Flame Deluge? That track's heavy as balls.

Lots of their early stuff is heavy/Hardcore-influenced. (first three albums + some of Vheissu/Alchemy Index 1&2)

The Flame Deludge made it to number one, but you might check out the other songs on here

I was already thinking about checking out The Artist in the Ambulance, and that vid solidified it for me. All the stuff from that album sounded really great. I found a random 20 dollar bill today, so I was thinking about going to this record store that usually carries Thrice CDs. I've already had copies of The Alchemy Index for years now, I've just never given them a good listen until recently. I remember only getting them for the cool concept behind them, and Come All You Weary & Open Water.
