Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Sounds like a FM song. I really don't hope this is for the new LP record because it sounds corny as hell. The totally opposite direction of what I thought the album would sound like. I don't dislike the lyrics, but Mike rapping is honestly one of my least favorite elements on the last few records. EDIT: If this is like a small section of a song with a cool structure - I don't mind. If this is a detour from the overall more moody and emotional side of the album - I don't mind. But if this is what they are going for instrumentally/production wise then I am not that excited.
As someone on LPLive noted, the track samples Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart. I'm pretty certain it's not something from the new record. Probably a Fort Minor thing?
Damn, I even know the song and I didn't catch that. Everything's pointing to this being a FM thing. Which makes me think it might be released sooner rather than later.
What i think about FM right now: The things Mike really like much, but cant bring into the band, will probably release soon or later as a FM project. I am just guessing

The Lonely Island is a comedic group, with songs meant to be funny or parodying in nature. This track has neither of those elements. I strongly doubt this is an LP track. As many have pointed out this has samples of Janis Joplin. That's something that FM would do, not Linkin Park. Linkin Park sampling another artist's music isn't unheard of (it's the reason why She Couldn't wasn't officially released, and why Pictureboard will never be released) but it's something that would be a pain in the ass for them to clear on a record, when they could just compose new music themselves and do something original and avoid getting licensing rights for the samples etc. I'd bet this is more likely a one off FM track like Welcome.

Mike's posted random music he's made on social media before. Prior to that, he did on his blog very often. Could be new music, could be just him having fun. It's snapchat lol
