Mike and Joe have collaborated with Blaine Halvorson from MadeWorm on their latest Hybrid Theory shirts. Part of the profits from each sale are going to Music for Relief, more precisely $10.00 from each sale of the T-Shirt and hoodie and a $100.00 from each sale of the custom, limited edition vintage black tee. Speaking about the Hybrid Theory soldier design, Mike said: Speaking about the collaboration, Blaine Halvorson from MadeWorn said: Check out a video about the process of making the shirts below, featuring instrumentals of "The Messenger" from A Thousand Suns and "Castle of Glass" from Living Things. The black t-shirt is custom, limited edition, AND vintage? The boys pulled out all the stops for this one.
Wish they would stop milking the HT aesthetic. They've tried their hardest to distance themselves from they sound. Seems like a lame cash in on those still high on nostalgia for the old sound.
Well, that cow is far from being dry. They know that HT will forever be seen as their definitive album for many people no matter what they do in the future, so the milking will continue for as long as people continue to feel that way.
As expensive as the shirts are, at least unlike some of the other $200 shirts (including the Porsche Design one Chester did a while back) that we've seen lately this one is actually for MFR, so I'm fine with that. Judging from the video each $160 tee should be different though? Don't think it's stated explicitly in the product description..
Welp, I bought the hoodie and white t-shirt. Would like to have the black-t shirt but that's a bit steep for me.
And they've branded themselves with that logo so many times that they honestly don't need to slap a giant "LINKIN PARK" for people to tell it's a Linkin Park tee (as long as your any bit familiar with the band)
I like it. I don't even associate it with HT that much, I agree with Shinoda that it's become synonymous with the band.
Looks good! I agree that the soldier has kinda become one of their signiture logos. Though I'm probably not going to buy any of those items, I still like the fact a portion of the proceeds goes to charity.
LP should make a movie with their "Soldier" as the main character and title it "Hybrid Theory: The Movie". Damn, it will sell billions,
This merch looks LIT. I just ordered a white shirt because I'm a poor college student. But this is gonna be like the first LP shirt I've bought with my own money
