Mike said it during a stream. I can't remember which one, and I'm not sure if he said LPU9 specifically, but I can vouch for the fact that it was intended to be released on an LPU record until someone said "No". I doubt that CD's got pressed with the song on it, however.
That would be wonderful, and I'd be happy to hear some new LP music, but don't get your hopes up just yet. A lot of people read too much into Talinda's Instagram post, and thought she meant music was coming this week...when she never said that. Is it possible there is new music on the way very soon? Very likely. But I'm not sure if 'very soon' will be this week. Although, that'd be wonderful.
i think, for now, it is safe to say that the new music is comming this year. Maybe, not pretty sure, it's Linkin Park though..
I don't think so. But their last album was great tho. The one with the song "Numb". Is that the last one? Seriously LP, give us the album, we're going crazy over here!
I think the confusion stemmed from it being a "weekend getaway before he drops new music". The way the sentence was worded implied that it would be very soon, some unstated time after the weekend was over, and presumably before the next weekend (Because syntax dictates that it's this past weekend that was special!). If that wasn't what it was meant to convey then it was worded poorly It's also important to remember that Mike has gone on record saying "We could drop new music today, we could drop new music tomorrow, three days from now, three weeks from now, we don't know" during a livestream that happened... [checks] Over three weeks ago. (I'm pretty sure that it was from this stream). It's not incredibly far fetched to think that they would have something ready for this week, especially within the context of members talking about a finished product. Either way, I'm hoping for some signs of life from the LP camp this week, and not in any individual capacity from members but as a collective.
I think they knowing that everybody is expecting something around this week they should at least came and say "won't be this week" because this silence is not hype...is annoying!!!
Mike had mentioned in that live video that there won't be anything this month (January). That coupled with how Mike and Chester all had a weekend getaway trip + what Talinda mentioned, I'm guessing we'll hear more info during the first week of Feb. Heck, the fact that the songs for the album are decided, they would have probably decided the lead single already. Album art, list etc won't necessarily need to arrive with the lead single. It can come a few days or weeks after.
