I'd love for LP to use some old retro style analog synths, more rough sounding electronics instead of Lost In The Echo
This. I am totally okay with waiting. The weeks will pass by fast anyway Maybe it's Kiiara featuring Linkin Park More than likely it's the second single though. Just a coincidence
Yeah it's pretty disappointing. I've always enjoyed Linkin Park song titles and find them different from other bands. For example Lost in the Echo, Waiting for the End, Breaking the Habit, A Line in the Sand, Iridescent... Those have always been my favorite Linkin Park song titles. "Heavy" sounds so generic.
Or you know, it could be like "hymn for the weekend" by Coldplay where Beyonce was in the song but wasn't mentioned as a featured artist in the title. Maybe kiiara's bit is minimal or just supporting vocals but the band thought it'd still be cool if they got her in the video. I'd say, this is a plausible theory.
"Heavy" sounds like it rolls off the tongue very easily and a radio-friendly title. Hopefully the song isn't though.
I think this is more or less confirmed since I saw another report confirming the Maroon 5 / Future song on the 21st. I'm surprised why that Gnash song is only going to radio now. That song's been around since November.
I'd say the most hyped was either A Thousand Suns or Living Things. Both had really nice roll-out campaigns and cycle launches that really engaged fans from around the world, especially the latter. And A Thousand Suns had a lot of hype because the band had just come off of Minutes to Midnight and no one was sure what they were going to do next. If anything, this whole process has been underwhelming. Largely because I think Hunting Party had no lasting power and fans just don't have the same buzz as they did last time. The band has also stayed fairly hush-hush for this particular album, so we know close to nothing about it, apart from the fact that it won't be like Hunting Party.
No way it was ats or Lt, Meteora and M2M had the most hype before release, especially meteora, i remember clearly everyone one was waiting for that to drop, i skipped class in high school just to rush to best buy to get it
"Heavy" is really no worse of a title than "War," "Faint" or "Numb." Kinda refreshing to get a short yet easy to remember name. Especially with recent titles like "Guilty All The Same" being a bit too much so, I dig it. Hopefully the song is more radio friendly in the vein of "Shadow of the Day" or "Waiting For The End" than "Burn It Down," if ya know what I mean.
I would say the most anticipated album was Meteora. Everybody was waiting to see if Linkin Park could make another record as good as Hybrid Theory. But maybe the most hyped album was A Thousand Suns with those weird messages and the descriptions that made people think about a concept record.
Meteora and MTM were the most anticipated and hyped. Meteora because it was only the band's second album - no one knew if LP could pull it off again after the stunning success of HT. MTM was anticipated because of the time between it and Meteora. Also talks of a dramatic change in sound, a new producer, and Mike's last project Fort Minor contributed to the mystery and excitement for MTM.
I'm looking forward to some really "heavy" and emotional lyrics from this track. I want all the feels to happen after listening to this for the first time.
