Oh yes, it will. Your hate for THP is sorta funny. I consider Living Things a very weak effort, but I wont go on Internet claiming no band will ever release something as shitty. Your opinion is only your opinion, remember. For instance, I can assure you I consider KTTK a better song than most of their discography
I really don't understand how you people come up with the whole M2M part 2 thing. I mean sure, the cover has water and six people in it. But did you forget about the masterpieces that are Given Up, No More Sorrow and Bleed It Out? I really don't think the new album will sound any like it. And even the more mainstream songs like What I've Done or LOATR are focused much more on real drums and guitar than electro sounds. And also, what we've heard so far is much more produced than M2M. I personally think of a LT part 2, just without the heavy tracks. I do think Heavy is really similar to Powerless.
Kiiara is such a babe. On the other side of the coin, it also has 173k likes. I'll gladly take both of these since the lyric video has already been viewed over 5M-nearly 6M times, which means nearly everyone and their grandma are talking about it.
You're right. 66k dislikes come from people who live in the past their whole life. They liked HT and M because it fitted together with a "wave" like Papa Roach, Sum 41 and so on...Papa Roach e.g. released a new song more or less at the same time as LP did 4 days ago...330k views...I always liked them too, but they sound the same as 10 years ago... Evolution is the keyword and LP evolves...
What collab exactly is Mike talking about here? Any ideas people? He says too many sounds per song. Heavy is pretty much minimalistic , hope others have layers of sound.
The dislikes thing is a bit of a generalization. I for example, disliked it myself, but two of my most played songs from last year were Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore" and Shawn Mendez's "Treat You Better". And those songs are straight up radio pop. But unlike Heavy, they are good. Simple as that.
Okay so I finally had the chance to check out that live session they did. Honestly they should've just have the insturemntal of the piano version, have Mike do Kiiaras vocals and it might just be my favorite LP single ever.
No. I disliked the song because I think it's bad. Simple as that. If we're talking Indie Pop, I'd rather listen to MØ or The Naked and Famous. If we're talking straight Pop, I'd rather listen to Lady Gaga or Nelly Furtado. This might come across as nerdy music brag, but I guess my point is you might dislike the song without being a die-hard Papa Roach fan or whatever.
The Heavy lyric video is by far the most disliked video that the band has put out, but it has also got by far the most likes of any of their pre released official lyric videos. That includes The Catalyst, BURN IT DOWN, LOST IN THE ECHO, GATS etc. In short, sure Heavy is polarising, but it is also creating a much bigger buzz then anything they've done in quite a while. I suspect Mike is happy about that.
Who would think One More Light (album) could be the band's Ghost Stories (2014, Coldplay) and What if the band release a follow up record next year 2018 just like A Head Full of Dreams (2015) in an upbeat colorful themes?
Yeah! that would be great. they've said before that: they've written ton of songs in this album cycle, and just 10 had made the cut. so this is not impossible.
I am suspecting it will have Coldplay vibes. Just want this album to be 45 minutes+ with lots of weirdness.
