Not sure what you're smoking but LP doesn't record anything at 96kHz/24bit. Tidal is known for upsampling their music from CD resolution audio and at best LP is providing 48kHz/24bit masters (if that). You played yourself.
Yeah don't waste your money on tidal. It really isn't worth the money at all. Especially when sites like HDTracks have been around for ages and already have extremely high quality versions of the songs.
Welcome (FM) would definitely fit in OML. Imagine if Welcome is the first track of OML. The vibe of the song really fits, IMO.
Better in what way? They are totally different. And also may be we should stop calling a song "better" than other one just because you like it more. And no, I love FM. And I love Welcome, I love it more than Heavy which I love too,may be not more than Battle Symphony. However I can't call anyone "better" than another one just because of my taste.
The song is out now on Australian iTunes with a midnight rollout in other countries. Discussing the official release here: http://www.lpassociation.com/forum/...ow-in-australia-with-90-second-preview.42919/
I've enjoyed all of LP's albums, but I'm getting less excited for this one. I don't care what style music they do as long as the songs are good. The singles so far have just been "meh". So far this is looking like their worst album and a big step backwards.
I'm sorry to break it to you, but they've switched to drumpads for the live version. Also it's performances like this that make me want singers like Chester and Chris Martin to stick to songs that don't strain their voices.
