Love the chorus, love the guitar, but I'm not sure of the verses yet. I need to hear the studio version.
If it helps, I heard two new songs by listening to that stream and I've already largely forgotten a lot of the details.
Oh fuck, finally!!! On first listen, I love this. First OML tracks which made me feel something. Fresh, upbeat, and exciting! Also, this makes the italian track-by-track review look quite real.
Not listening to it right now, because I want the studio version to be my first full experience with the track. Based on the lyrics, I am a little let down by the lack of original word play and metaphors + the seemingly same old song structure. But whatever, I have a feeling the lyrics sound good in the actual context of the song and will sound powerful coming out of Chester's mouth. Does Mike sing in this at all?
Mike doesn't sing this, only Chester. And the lyrics do sound good with the actual context. I think this is also my favourite for Chester's vocal delivery as well, compared to others. P.S: You are right the studio version may differ a bit than the live version, most probably the mixing of the guitar and Chester's vocals. Still pretty amped about hearing it.
https://www.lpassociation.com/forum/threads/any-track-by-track-review-for-oml.42993/page-2 There is no actual proof it's legit. But the description of TTM was quite spot on, so I guess I'll just go with it
Ah, the part of the new album cycle where I'm up late listening to YouTube recordings of the new live setlist. <3
I still don't trust that track-by-track thing - I think that you could easily come up with that description for "Talking To Myself" off the snippet from March and fill in the blanks with guesswork.
To be fair, it's not only the description. The review song time is close enough (although not identical) to the live version. But sure, it's still suspicious, in a way.
@TheZlajaZlo shame! i really like the 4 songs actually. but taste is of course different. hope that you will like them eventually someday - in any case im really excited for the new album. love the direction in which they are going
Great sounding song. Can't wait for the studio version. Brad's guitar sounds great. Can we also take a minute to say how great Heavy sounds during that concert? Amazing energy to it, Chester sounds super, and it just works beautifully. Can't wait to hear all these songs live in July.
