I just finished listening. I loved the album. I'd probably put it behind A Thousand Suns and The Hunting Party but at the moment it's my third favorite album. Also there ended up being a lot more rock elements than I expected.
Ok so i just finished it. It's a good album. While i've loved every song they released so far, within the context of the album they are so much better. Sorry for now is, in my opinion, the best song on the album with Nobody can save me being a close second. Pure poppy awesomeness.
About to give it a listen. Let's see. I liked the songs released so far, so the overall change in style surely won't bother me.
Lads it's great if you do or don't like the album, and by all means post your reactions, but can we please stop calling people "delusional" for liking it, and can we please not jump on people for posting their initial thoughts on why they don't like it? It's just immature.
I'm seeing some of you bashing me after this (Sorry for Now), but here is my second opinion: Sorry for Now: great chorus and Mike's delivery is nice. But the song style is so generically heard on the radio nowadays that I'll pass. Reminds me of a combo of Coldplay + Chainsmokers + a mainstream DJ like Skrillex or Aoki. Halfway Right: on the second listen it's becoming a good song. Not bad, but another song to hear pontually.
All I can say is wow! This is def my new fav album!! Which before now was ATS! For anyone who's been not feeling the album so far and feel it's generic pop please just give it a listen first if you haven't already!! I don't wanna spoil much but there are awesome sounds on the album it sounds so good! And Chester's rap/sing in Sorry For Now is very very reminiscent of Mike on Waiting For The End! When I first heard that small clip of Sorry For Now a while back I did NOT like it, but man was I wrong! I love that song!
NCSM is gorgeous, OML studio version has made my mom cry(and myself), already memorised Sorry for Now amd the rest of the tracks are diamonds. 10/10 from me and this album shares the 1st place with ATS for me.
At work for the next 6 hours so I can't listen, but it sounds like this is an album of very high highs and pretty embarrassing lows. is that about right?
I don't think it's a Pop album. Definitely it has a more radio-friendly sound, but it sounds just Linkin Park being...Linkin Park. It's a great album, for me it's up there with the MTM-ATS-LT trilogy.
Loved the album!! From best to worst IMO: Sorry For Now (HIGHLIGHT) Talking To Myself One More Light Invisible Sharp Edges (HIGHLIGHT) Nobody Can Save Me Halfway Right Good Goodbye Battle Symphony Heavy
